Welcome! This league has a few pretty active teams itching for promotion. Most have added a new piece or two to their rosters recently so it should be interesting to see which teams emerge. Having one of the smallest payrolls in the league I don't expect to make the playoffs again this season. I somehow snuck into the playoffs last year and actually won the first round game before losing to the eventual champ. Looks like you replaced the champ in the Big 8.

I have only been managing my team for a season and a half now so I've basically been focused on upgrading my arena and slowly training my young players. I'm probably a season or two away from actually becoming a true and willing contender for promotion.

Looking at your roster, even after the sale of Sloan is complete, I believe you will have the highest payroll by 25k or so. In other words, I think you may just be the team to beat.

I agree dude...very competitive. I made a couple changes to give me more options. May start getting some younger talent but that will be tricky.

$#@!&$#.....i hate walk overs. if u have the roster play em....dont understand the strategy in teams that wont play.
if it is strategic lemme know. Otherwise.....
anyway glad to see the injury list empty. Going to be a competitive season.....balls of fury may FINALLY promote.

I don't understand the reasoning behind not playing enough players... By doing so, one is basically forfeiting valuable training minutes.

I was pretty disappointed when I found out that I didn't promote. I was under the understanding that both finals teams get promoted.

On another note, I disagree with getting a free 50 point differential for a forfeit.

Other than the champion, the only teams with a chance at promoting are the ones with the best records. So realistically you have to be undefeated or only have one loss if you want a chance at promotion.

hey guys, not part of this league but I was just passing through to see how Iowa's going

the not playing enough players and getting forfeits is strategic (most would call it cheating - including myself)

you get 120k automatically for a forfeit that's a home game. Yep, 120k.

Just putting that out there so you know.
