Maybe because he is for sale it won't save a new face? Ah well, is very small issue. I don't really care, just want to make sure you're aware of it.

Hit save ... and while it is still trying to save, refresh the page. I have always had to do it that way.

Why? I asked a manager to edit his player's face because I plan to buy him, but he can't...

It is intentional. So users wouldn't be able to change the face of a player to something terrible after a bid is received.
