Our campaign has taken off with a good start, and a very comfortable home win against Kazakhstan :

Next week we're travelling to Guatemala for a second game, and with all due respect to our opponents, we're expecting a comfortable win as well.

Go Lions !

This week : http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/34480/boxscore.aspx

Another week, another convincing victory which should enable us to stay on top of the league (or is it Czech Republic ? I'll check tomorrow) before we face Mexico next week.

And that's a win !!!

http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/34524/boxscore.aspx

This away game in Mexico against a better team was clearly one of the most dangerous games we had to play - I hadn't thought this one was winnable to be honest.

Despite me failing once again at GDP the boys took the lead in the second quarter and never let it slip, this is an excellent performance. I'm delighted :)

Unfortunately we lose our top league ranking to Czech Republic and Slovakia who continue to impress.

Next week : another away game in Tunisia !

Our NT is keeping up it's fine stream of good performances with another 2 wins :

Last week in Tunisia : http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/34546/boxscore.aspx

Yesterday at home against Paraguay : http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/34589/boxscore.aspx

Each time with comfortable margins. According to the tables, we are officially qualified !

But still have a couple of games to go, we're going to Luxembourg next week, and then we will welcome Greece in what should be an extremely difficult game.

Congratulations, your season is perfect until now. If I'll have to play against you, I really hope it will be as late as possible. :p

Don't overdo it Phil, I don't stand a chance against France, no matter how hard I try :) This is not particular to France, I don't expect to crush Slovakia, Szech Republic, ...

And to be honest, I didn't really do all that on my own, I have my little Maverick fairy standing somewhere.

"As far as we can get" is our suiting philosophy right now :)

I learnt by experience to really be careful about teams that only want to go as far as they can get. :p

We won in Luxembourg, but to be honest I'm slightly disappointed with a "mere" +27 point average. Which means we are ranked last of all the teams holding a 7 - 0 record, while I knew I couldn't hold long enough the advantage of finishing top ranked team, I had hoped to maintain HCA until the semifinals (that is, if we reach them).

Next week this is a crucial game against Greece, but I'm still not sure how I should face that one right now.
