Too many times the offsite rallies behind just one manager and it really does screw us.
Uhh... when else have we been "screwed" over? I haven't been involved with the offsite for too long but I'm pretty sure the past 5 seasons have seen us getting Silver or Gold in Worlds. I think that's a good thing, whether you can claim it was the offsite's doing or not, which I don't think you alone can though it may be part of the equation.
On that matter, its actually a pretty stupid idea that the offsite, of which you're a part of so you know how it works, rallies together behind a single candidate every time. Let's not keep perpetuating this all controlling offsite or us vs. them mentality. Sure, on the offsite people may be more vocal about who they're voting for and even try to sway others but everyone makes their own decision. As long as I've been involved, I've never seen a message stating that everyone on the offsite needs to vote for a certain candidate and there'd be no mechanism to force people to follow it anyways. Let's take a look back for some more proof, shall we.
s31 - Ram beat you 38-19, while clearly decisive, it isn't as if you received 0 votes and everyone backed a single manager.
s27 - magiker edged you out, 33-23, don't think it'd look this way if the offsite rallied to back one manager.
s26 - EBW also beat you by a similar margin, 42-29.
s28,29,30,32 were all one-sided after the manager had a World Finals appearance so I just don't think your statements hold true. Let's not forget magiker and EBW went on two 3 World Golds and 1 World Silver so you can't say a wrong choice was made.
You say you're not but you sound like someone who is a little bitter, or you're trying to start your campaign early, if you ask me. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be making a lot of these statements if you had won the previous election.
We all agree that RamQ being the manager these past seasons has been a disaster. And I admit to being one of the people who backed Ram. Don't know what has happened to him, I'd assume real life, but that does mean there could've been better choices. We know that now but at the time, I for one only knew he had been one of the most active managers as we chatted regularly, managed well to get to the NBBA, participated in NT game planning and trained Bowens, which does give him the best resume in my book as well. (And in regards to your resume comment, everyone can contribute to game planning but that doesn't make everyone's input as valuable.) I too would've taken back my vote for him but as Phyr said, hindsight is 20/20, all we can do is hope to have a well qualified manager for the upcoming seasons. Can we please stop this talk about the offsite dictating things... everyone can get involved, everyone has an opinion.
