Excellent posts, however I disagree with you when you say that DMI is redundant, it's correlated to GS, and to guess your player's GS sublevel you have to use DMI. Do not misinterpret correlation and redundancy. But it's a tool, you may use it or not. It allows you to guess the information you don't have: your opponent's skills and GS, or your player's GS sublevels in a, kind of, very accurate way for the latter.
