Ok first thing to do is clear your mind of everything you know about real life basketball and just focus on the game itself. The game engine is not relatable to real life basketball as height doesn't matter, It doesn't run plays each possesion its just a percentage of how well you guy can shoot or not and the opponet outside defence inside defence rating shot blocking rating all matters in how to defend a shot. All of division 2 and division 1 as said by others not just me is basically and highly competitive look inside ptb low post tactic over use. I however use motion, look inside, low post, and just recently patient. Those are my four sets that I use reguarly but use motion more than the others.

As said for the game engine, The game engine is not really based upon real life basketball. It is based upon a economy game as said by Phyr in the offsite and forums on here. If you know your math and use your math skills plus training wisley you can figure out bb in a matter of time. But like I said it takes time to figure out this bb game to be really good at it

I would suggest run look inside, low post, and patient. Alternate between the three as to not get gdp. I don't use gdp unless I know for a fact its a easy guess. Once you get to human division you will see less gdp and more balanced guesses or as I should say no guesses at all.

I took some height mesaurments what I look for on the transfer list this was posted on the offsite but pf/c I use different methods

Pg: 5'9 6'3
Sg:5'9 6'3
Sf:6'6 7'6
PF 6'8 7'6
C 6'10 7'6

Hope this helps, here is the link to the offsite where you can write down your club diary and whatever you want in the diary that is related to bb itself http://s3.zetaboards.com/BuzzerBeater_USA_NT/forum/12678/

It's up to you, feel free to create any kind of team you want, and see if it's going to be successful.

A couple of notes though:
- High TSP rules of course, but those players are getting really expensive on the transfer list, you might have to be creative with assembling your team.
- OD rules. You absolutely need OD, to defend any kind of opponent's offense.

IMHO, I think its important to design a team these days that can play multiple tactics but I think you still need an overall focus for your team. For example, if you are an inside team you can play LI and LP, but what tactic do you play when teams begin to use GDP and zones against you? Patient? Base? PTB? Inside Iso?

I would say without doubt having a lineup that is flexible is key, but your have got to skewer one way or the other offensively or you will end up with no reliable identity. I love the outside game, but the inside game is still overpowering IF you know how to build that type of team in that you must have guards who can drive to the rack and create opportunities, many I have noticed who try to overpower inside end up with dreck guards and those efforts are much more easily defused.

Prior to RL getting in the way of BB for me...

I had pretty good success with a completely homegrown team where I only scouted/drafted/recruited players 6'6 or 6'7 if I could.

I trained every single player to be a SF, but, based on player's ages, potentials, and when drafted, and where I was in the training, some came out slightly different in build than others. But what i did end up with was a very good defensive team that commited very few turnovers. And a team that never once got predicted correctly offensive tactics by opponents.

I was right at a turning point I felt when RL things came up and I had to stop.

(28408332)
(28408323)
(28408336)

Was my 1st draft class.

(29558187)

turned out really PG-ish for a 6'9 guy due to where I was in training the above 3, but was a very solid SF kinda guy for me

(30652149)

Turned out a lot like Luwa only more consistent scorer (personality trait thing?)

But those guys all turned out well. like I said, if RL hadn't interfered it was very effective.
