Also - since I seem to have a good 18yo player (says his potential is hall of famer) I'd be happy to take advice on training around him.

Sup tronbone, caught me at a perfect time.

Yes, this game is very great and worth your time if you put in the effort to make your team good.

As far as resources, here is one great one

The USA Offsite always welcomes new guys to the team, so come on down and sign up.

If you have any more questions, feel free to PM Me. I am one of the scouts for the NT and Bass looks like a great player. So you'll get a PM from me anyways lol. Welcome to BB.

Sure you get these regularly. But two main questions. 1) is the game stable and large enough to be worth my time 2) if yes, can someone point me to the best resources beyond the game manual? Looks like my team has one really good young guy potential wise, one good player for now and then a bunch of scrubs. So draft, train, and grow is the goal.

Thanks in advance.

Large enough and stable yes. I have kept coming back off and on as RL lets me since season 18 (this is season 33).

A good place to start is try the "mentor" thread, and look into a mentor, a more experienced manager, to help you out with questions if you have any.

But then he's kind of useless after you get better than him (proof: also me) :)

So then what does that make me as I was his mentor?

According to Neway's logic, useless I guess.
