I don't understand those three blank starting positions. What was the purpose in combination with SFDC?

The news in season 30 says,
"Starting with the first scrimmages of this season, blank lineups are finally a thing of the past. Some lazy managers had started sending out incomplete lineups to their coaches who did their best to manage around this incomplete information, but it didn’t really feel like basketball anymore, and the fans started complaining. Now, if a manager sets a lineup with three or more blank starter positions, the coach will declare the lineup invalid and make up a new lineup using a fuller roster."

You can find this news in (223143.36).

Ok, that makes sense. This information should really be in the game manual though. Either that or there should be an easier way to access old season news posts than going into the Swedish BB forums.

If you leave the starter position blank, it ensures that the player will get 48 minutes and not get subbed out in the final minutes which sometimes happen if you put the player as a starter, backup and reserve. My mistake was not knowing that leaving more than 2 starter positions blank will cause my entire lineup to be scrapped.

The ideal solution to this would just be to eliminate the coach randomly subbing out trainees in the final minutes when you put them as starter, backup and reserve.

Not how blanking works.

I once had a team with 1757 players and was $25,835,360 in debt. This is not that team. Join the Discord group open to anyone, but especially for USA managers to improve your club or get involved with the U21 and NT programs (https://discord.gg/cKpNkt2).

Actually it does. It's a really weird part of the game. When you put the player as starter, backup and reserve, there's a chance he gets subbed out in the final minutes. Leaving the starter position blank, but putting the player in the backup and reserve role ensure he always get 48 minutes unless he fouls out or is injured.
