several factors.
in order of importance:
winning 2 games a week will give you more merch $ than winning 1 or none
winning 2 or 1 or zero is also affected by fan support which is affected by others factors ( win vs rival, tv,etc)
having a home grown team, i.e. players drafted by you
having a team comprised of players of your own nationalityt, even if you did not draft them
and then other factors which are less measurable, i.e. merchandise store, stadium etc.
also, having a player on a NT and playing
hacing a player on a nt an scoring much
having a player on your own national NT, etc

some lines from the game manual
Here are the five team infrastructure buildings and their effects:

4. TV&Radio Station - there's no better way to build up the hype for the upcoming match than through the media! Having TV and radio shows promoting the team achievements, past and present, will result in fans buying more merchandise, tolerate losses more easily and celebrate wins longer. But keep in mind, there are limits to how high the fan spirit can rise. Additionally, season ticket sales will also have a nice boost, especially with higher levels.

5. Merchandise Store - having a luxurious store in a prominent spot will boost merchandise sales. Similarly like investing in a nice arena design, the store will take a long time to return the initial investment but after that it will generate pure profit.

When BuzzerBeater fans don't like the way you are running your team, they are less likely to buy merchandise and attend your games. Even worse, some of them will change loyalties and support competing teams! Conversely, fans will reward a well-run team with their attention, and their money. A skilled PR-Manager may be able to help fans focus more on your team's achievements, and less on its shortcomings.

Merchandising income comes from your fans buying team apparel. Jersey sales are affected by a combination of factors. One factor is whether you have a winning team. Nobody likes to wear the jersey when you're losing, do they? Other factors include how many domestic players you have on your team, and also how many were drafted by your own team, as fans like supporting local players more than imported talent. This is weighted by the overall skill of the local players, so stocking your team with local bench warmers won't do you much good. Similarly, fans from around the country are particularly enthusiastic supporters of members of their national teams, and even more so when their national team is a successful one. So, if in a given week your player played in a national team game, fans from around the country will buy their jersey, typically in a quantity proportional to their salary. National team jersey sales will vary depending on the strength of the national team, but players playing in their domestic league tend to sell considerably more national team merchandise. Finally, fans from around the league tend to notice the league leaders, particularly in important categories such as points, rebounds, and assists but to some extent in all categories. If your team has players among the league leaders, you will see a bump in jersey sales from fans of other teams in your league, with an additional bump for the most eye-popping numbers in your country or in all of BuzzerBeater.

yes.
also TV revenue is relative to the salaries in the league and the heigher the league the higher the salaries and hence tv.

in my division I we have 230k from tv
in div II in our country its 170k

at times i did make 170 from merch but truth be told i had home grown national team player who scored in his weeks NT game.
you being in the US makes things a lot harder.

also when NT player playes your merch represents a percetage of a salary. so from a 200k player who plays in the NT you may see a bump in merch as high as 50k (from my exp)
would like if others shared their own experiences

That may be low for a homegrown NT starter and high for a foreign player, but you're in the right ballpark. I have a 185k salary starter for my NT (plus a couple more English players and 2 draftees from last season - so you can assume almost all the benefit compared to the league average is from the NT player) and this is my merch for the season:
13/05/2019 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 110 835
20/05/2019 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 107 479
27/05/2019 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 109 717
03/06/2019 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 103 891
10/06/2019 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 105 130
17/06/2019 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 106 352
24/06/2019 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 104 963
01/07/2019 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 105 435
08/07/2019 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 106 441
15/07/2019 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 106 705
22/07/2019 Weekly Merchandise profit $ 104 531

League Averages from Last Week
Expenses Revenue
Staff Salaries: $ 71 945 Merchandise: $ 51 170

so you have extra 50k as oppose to the rest of the league.

glad you added that info as it paints a more complete picture.
thanks!

The extra merch money is a percentage of the player's salary, so that really should not matter. Vecx had 2 NT starters with 200k salary, one he drafted and the other he bought right after the draft. He didn't get 200k extra merch from them.

I am not going to waste any more time with people who just keep ignoring what's being said. I have not been in D1 only twice in the last 15 seasons or so, I know exactly how much my merch income was and the league average because I track the economy numbers among many other things.

What you say is irrelevant in this discussion: the merchandising money boost from NT players is directly linked to 3 factors:
1 minutes played for the NT
2 salary of the player
3 nationality
If the player is homegrown (you drafted him) he will definitely provide an additional boost to merchandising, but no evidence has been provided (that I know of) that a homegrown player will bring in a higher % of salary as merch income from NT games than any other player of the same nationality. Homegrown teams with no NT players usually have a much higher merch income than normal teams.

All of this doesn't change at different division levels. So if the boost is 50k in D1 it would be the same 50k in D2 or D3 or D4.
