World and Nation Ranking seems like a much bigger contributor than actual season record. The 2 are related, of course, as season and cup record will determine your ranking in the long run, but you can see tons of top ranked teams with very good gate receipts even when they lose most games.

No it's not, read again. My comment was about W/L record vs WR, not that WR trumps everything else. That is everything else being equal. In fact I should have said that it's actually both team WR that matters, as gates will be different if you play the #1 team in the country or the #25. Rival and TV also get a boost.

You seem confused. Winning the game before a home game has indeed a huge impact, but that is not W/L, it's merely correlated with it. Just like W/L record and WR are correlated but not the same thing. You can see the difference in teams that lose all their away games and the difference is larger in D1.

The guy most definitely has a much better PR than you have and your prices were set badly.

Your math was wrong...he never made 274k as far as I can see. His last 6 league games are as follows according to his arena page:

So he's averaging 235k and the other 7-4 teams seem to be on 215k-220k. That does seem high considering he's just been demoted, he's lost his rival game and his bleachers were full for 3 games which means his average should have been even higher. Notably his 255k gates came against a newly promoted team which won only 1 game, which means his average could have been around this value with correct pricing.

I'm pretty sure he has a high level (say lvl 6) PR manager and that may make up for the 30k difference compared to the other teams. It does seem odd, because even assuming a high level PR manager and even though he avoided the boycott, he should have a drag from demotion.

It would be interesting to know the season ticket holders of the various teams, but that's not information which is publicly available, just like the PR level. What is the league-wide average for gate receipts?
