A simple transfer market search shows 3 players that are strong-strong-strong and 32 that are better than that. So apparently they can be that rare.

edit: 1.5 million is not that much money either. You just need to sell one player

Is 32 that much for 25000 active teams? :)

yeah sure, I only need to sell one player ;P but concerning the profit you make in a 2nd league with TV Games etc, it takes very very long to get 1.5 mio.
and then you have to spend all for a player who is only strong in 2 or 3 skill.

and strong isnt very hard to reach imo

If you're planning to make money solely by TV revenues and game receipts, you're on the wrong path. You have to train and sell players, it's as simple as that.

And no, 32 is not so much, which is in direct contradiction with your suggestion that "surely they cannot be so rare".

Then again, you are entitled to your opinion, but the market is out there to sort out the opinions of 25,000 other teams, too

you have 16 players which each week might not amass to much but you are wasting $300k a season on wages for the surplus players.... I would intensively train 3 players to give you 2 long term starters then sell your 3rd trainee and repeat the process.....

too many people are only inching up the skills of their players so when they get to sell they dont stand out and command the fee that gives you the ability to buy whoever you fancy.

take a look at the biggest transfers to date - 1 specialist guy selling for 5mil vs 2 normal trainees selling for 1.5mil each..... yes you would end up with 4 players on your team but again these will need to be replaced sooner than if you'd trained 3 and kept 2 (who i'd imagine would also be worth 5mil each)

i know its not a direct answer to your question but as kozlodoev says... training is key - you have to be making 4-6mil a season (depending on the quality of trainee you are able to buy in the first place) if your not..... then thats what you need to address first.

Anyway there are very lack of good players in the market...only piece of crap, and those which are good, prices are enormous...I think +1-2 seasons and the situation will be diferent, you cant plan in long term in such a young game....

I expect the prices go even more.........
Good that Free agents take some good money away from game....

Unfortunately Kozlodoev is correct. The ONLY way to compete in this game is to train and sell players, which I think really sucks. Those of us who tried a different path are way behind now, with very little chance to catch up. And, it is also readily apparent that having a well-rounded team is not better than having a few superstars.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

Looking at the kozlodoevs team roster looks like his tackticks is not right..:P

But anyway I think kozlodoev if far better manager than other GMs, so I would definately vote for him as a GM because his opinions is very good.....other users are just talking and talking but kozlodoev will allways give an good explanation and he knows realy a lot of this game!!!

respect man!!!:)

same problem with guards... I have been looking for weeks for a guard with a simple double strong in OD and JS, respectable JR and no atrocious in the main secondary skills and I can tell they are really rare... and the few available sell for over 1 million.

I think that at this moment in time the transfer market should have many more of these players.

i think the way as this goes is

the one who can train a extra fifth player among the normal is 4 or usually we only train 2 guys per position but who can really train an extra and develops him and sell him would really have the best chance in keeping ahead with everyone.

right now, im thinking we need another 2-4 seasons till we see significant talents for guards.

the problem right now is, though we have this market value estimate from previous sales, there has top be a way to help new guys understand a game, there was this one time i was looking for a 3 rd stringer backup and i found a 31 year old. i wasnt expecting him to even reach 150k that time im thinking 100k would be too much for this guy. then suddenly from out of nowhere there is this one guy who paid 250k for that guy!

shock as i was, i bbmail him and try to explain his actions could hurt him in the long run for his team and he answered that his sorry he doesnt know his just new and he needed help in his lineup!

anyways whether its true or not i dont care, but if his new then its a learning experience but it really really makes the market susceptible to a lot of ups and down. i knew someone who i dont is lucky enough to had bought a talent for less than 1 million but his price tag is around 1.6 million, but others who are just 1.4 million baloon to 2.2 million!

its crazy!
