between the two matches, the game shape reset occurred, leveling out all differences of game shape or team enthusiasm...

Maybe you're right, but... you're forgetting one thing... my opponent's game shape was reset, too, and for that matter, it's actually more likely that that reset affected him more than me, 'cause, being a Play Off team, he had more minutes on his hands to build up good game shape.
Now, team enthusiasm could be an explanation. I mean, it's not impossible that I had a somewhat higher level of team enthusiasm at that point, but then again, even if that's true... I still won that game with my reserves.
I mean, how much of team enthusiasm advantage could I possible had in that game to beat him with bunch of bench warmers? Not to mention that my team enthusiasm was just a bit above standard. It was 6, but whatever.

For example it seems your centers played worse in the second match (down from strong/proficient game shape?)

To be completely honest with you, I don't remember... maybe... but even if there was such a drop, their game shape was still respectable.
I mean, it's not like that's a bad game shape and it's certainly not that bad to make someone who's normally shooting over 50% from the field to shoot mere 30%. I mean, I would understand if my center was in average or even mediocre game shape, but respectable? No way, man, no way. That's B.S., but whatever.

All in all, the only reasonable explanation, and that's only if there's a reasonable explanation, it must be a home court advantage.
I mean, I still think that it's absurd that I can beat someone with my reserves one day and then lose with my starters the other day just because of that, but whatever, I'll take it. I mean, I'll take it simply 'cause nothing else doesn't make sense.

Home/Away.

There was a thread in which someone suggested that a 15 point difference can easily be reversed if you flip home and away. It sounds about right to me.

That was my guess, too, but while that explains one game, it certainly doesn't explains both of them.
I mean, there's no home court advantage that big that you can play your garbage time players and beat the team which, in the same time, has no problem whatsoever to beat your best players once they're on their own home court. I mean, that doesn't make any sense... unless, of course, there is a difference between Scrimmage and regular game... 'cause, I mean, I did beat him in Scrimmage and he beat me in competitive game... I don't know, man... I'm clueless. I just hope that someone who knows something or knows someone who knows something will look up into this and share some light on it... that's all.

Looking at the games though, in game 1, it was close near the end and his players went foul happy to try and close the game and stop the clock. While you did not shoot out the lights, you did take advantage of those free throws and moved ahead while he shot poorly to close the gap. You out rebounded him by 20, 13 of which were offensive rebounds. More attempts leads to more buckets.

In the second game, he landed a little better in the 3 pt range, he blocked 9 of your shots and stole the ball more frequently. On his home court, I can see how this would lead to the turn around. Additionally, since he wasn't down in the 4th, you were not given FTs to close out the game with. Rebounds were similar.

I assure you that my starters are much better then my reserves and that's exactly the reason why I'm making such a fuzz about it, but whatever. I'm over it.

Yeah, sure, but, as I already said, in the first game I played with my reserves. The key word would be reserves. In the second game I played with my best players and I got out scored and out rebounded. I mean, home court or not, that doesn't make any sense. I mean, at least it doesn't make any sense to me:D
Either way... I don't understand why everybody's trying to explain this through the game stats. I mean, you do realize that this is just a computer game, not a real life basketball? Its not Smedley who make/miss shots. It's not Dodge who rebounds and its not Johnson who assists. They're just a names on the screen. Its the Game engine who does all that and its that very same Game engine who decided that I will lose. Why? Well, I don't know that, but I would certainly like to find out.
