Well, you can. If you dress less than 3 players you'll give walk over, but with 3 there's no problem. Other than losing the game probably, but in a scrimmage who cares?

Absolutely the best way to go.

Thanks for answers. It would be sufficient for me to just nominate 3 players and let them get +48 minutes (hoping for no injury) but the other solution is attractive if I would be sure not to forget to log in to just fire the extra players after the game.
Maybe playing lucky fans could resulted in better merchandise and more season ticket holders :)

I agree. I would say it depends on particular number of minutes you want let your "core" player play.

Just a silly question -

example:

PG - nobody
SG - A
SF - B
PF - C
C - D

and E as backup SG.
No more players dressed.
What would happen?

a) lucky fan would start at PG and be substitued by E quickly.
b) E would start at PG
c) Lucky fan will play PG normally (obvoiusly not)

considering no injuries

(and yes it is moot)

Of course I would manage it differently i was just curious. I know what would happen if I dress someone else and didn't even assign him for either back up or reserve - simply the first unassined but dressed player would come into play (even before any back ups/ reserves from other position) - it happened me once already so I just wondered what would happen in above case but no big deal.

Absolutely the best way to go.

However, enduring a voluntary walkovers gives you predictable minutes, since there is no foul trouble or blowout, no?

If I had to guess I'd say this will be addressed soon.

Why should be?

If there is non-realistic demand for exact amount of minutes, there should be a way to use SCs even with varying number of players caused by injuries. Otherwise an injury of players could influence training of others directly which imho shouldn't.

Purposely fielding an incomplete team should also be accompanied by a mass sell-off of season-ticket holders, a monumental drop in attendance, and an enthusiasm drop to 0.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.
