lol robbed? you had 28 fouls and 3 players most likely in foul trouble most off the match... this is just a close look at your game... are you sure you want us to go on?

let me continue... :) This is enjoyable. Your opponent scored 23 points from the free throw line and when I looked correctly you scored 6. Furthermore he had many more rebounds too.

Enough reasons for him to win the game...

(considering i am a complete noob when it comes to basketball)

ps why did you think you should have won this game? Even your shooting % is worse than your opponents...

... not to mention the other team scored more points!

I dont think you are helping, my guess is that he wonder why his team commited those fouls when thay matched the other team well acording to ratings and why the other team got all the rebounds when it was a tight matchup according to ratings...

yes. exactly. :) you are making (in my opinion and i might be wrong) the exact same misstake as the guy who asked this question... Because I think that is the reason why he asked he lost and no other reason...

Ratings are just to give you an idea how good/bad your team is, but it is not set in stone. If you read the other discussions on the forums about team ratings (rangeing from individual player ratings like 10.5 or 6.5 etc and the team ratings), noone knows what the formulas are and what it exactly means these ratings.

This is what the rules states Each player that has played more than five minutes in a given match receives a rating, on a 1-10 scale. This rating is based on a combination of your player's stats and his overall contribution to the team effort. Note that this has nothing to do with the player's overall skill; if your worst player overall is the best on the court, he'll have the highest rating! Again, it doesnt say anything about how much better the player is compared to others.

The team ratings can go from atrocious to legendary and have several sub levels.

On outside scoring he was quite a bit better.
On inside scoring he was worse.
On outside defense the teams were equal.
On inside defense his team was better.
On rebounding his team was worse.
On offensive flow his team was better.

so if you want to give them points it would have been 2.5-3.5. In the guys favourite. But if his players make so many more fouls because they are more aggresive players or he used the wrong tactic, (which was a difference off 17 points between the two teams) and from the % you shoot like 5% worse. You loose the game when it is a close one, which in this case it was...

The stats ARE set in stone. And the stats clearly favoured the other team. Alot more clearer than the team ratings did...

So is there any way I can get my players to stop fouling?

yes you can...

if you pick your tactics you can pick either, sit them or let them play. You should get a lot less PF when you pick let them play...

I am sure there are hidden stats that you canĀ“t see that influence your players. Like aggresiveness off players. Have a look at my Center. Even if I select let them play, he gets 3-4-5 fouls. Think he has a very high (hidden) aggresive level.

ps be patient. you will get there eventually. Trust me...

my players don't care of let them play,, but you are right about the hidden attribut which is official announced from a bb in the forum.

So it gives the bad guys who foul a lot^^

I give my opinion about your defeat. You had much better ratings than your opponent (outside scoring vs. perimeter defence, inside scoring vs. inside defence and so on).You loose the game for two reasons:
1) you had a very bad %FG (38.2 vs. 45.0)
2) much less rebounds

From my experience it is difficult to win games in BB when a team has %FG lower than 40% and has much less rebounds than opponents.
Of course you had also a lot of PF.So you also should try to play "sit them".

So I'm training rebounding, is there anything else I could do to stop this slide I'm in?
