I'd say it somewhat depends on how many humans there will be picking ahead of you. If you'll have a bad record and wind up with a good draft slot, then the scouting could be valuable. Or if you're at the top of the league but play against a bunch of bots who will just pick randomly, the scouting could again be valuable.

My situation is neither of those - I will likely have a bunch of humans picking ahead of me (fingers crossed, of course!), so I'm unlikely to get any good draft picks. I haven't put money into scouting for a few seasons and I have no complaints about it. If a half-decent player comes through, then I can exchange him for a little cash.

You have humans in your league?

NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke
Charles: Penn has some good people
A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

prob depends on your place in the standings. i stopped a couple seasons ago after a couple really bad drafts. havent had a useful pick since the season 2 to 3 offseason.

Kids today.

Back in my day, we respected our elders!

Now, get off my lawn.

Well, it was easy respecting your elders when they were only Adam & Eve.

I definitely cannot say that I have much experience in this at all as I've only been around for one draft, but I am putting absolutely nothing into training this year.

I had scouted about 16 prospects did my best in ordering them and didn't come out with anything that was worth keeping. Two of my draftees were fired, one was sold for about $10k.

I'll take that extra money I save from NOT scouting and put it in my stadium, or save it and buy up a prospect I actually want on the TL.

JMO.
