A selection made by a real manager without looking at players skills?I think that in a division there's someone who knows players better than the game :D

I'd rather not have the competition be able to take a look at the skills my best players.

What if they still couldn't see them and instead were only capable of setting what tactics to use.

Yes, well that is a subject of the thread in serbia's forum
Suggestion is to have ability to set up tactics without knowing skills of elected players. Dunno if this makes any sense but it can be interesting

i am not a big fan of the suggestion, even when it have it own charm.

I like to see what missmatches are searched in the game, and for this the basics tactics are fine to see because it could be that the center get many shots or the Shooting guard depending on the match ups.

Additional think it becomes a bit like guessing for the real managers, when they don't know the skills but when they know them it become an disadvantage to have players participating in the ASD. I like the pure fight of player power more, then the gambling with the tactics.

As long as the player skills are not shown, I like the idea. It's harmless fun like the All-star game is anyway, so why not.

Another option would be to let all the managers in the conference set the tactics individually, i.e. effectively vote which tactics the team would use (the settings should perhaps be made in order of preference). This way it could potentially be a community project and something to discuss in the league forum, thus getting people more interested in the All-Star game. Some silly tiebreaker rules would need to be implemented, though.

That would also mean that everyone gets a say rather than having just one person per league do the choosing. Much fairer! However i wouldn't care less if people could see my players stats...it makes no difference really, all they can do to counter my players is to buy ones with similar stats anyway so does it really matter if they can see skills or not...

that may count for some kind of players, but espicially with player who play on Sf you could usually exploit weakness - other well working centers are highly affective for a full court press but it hard to exploit that through reading the stats because when they don't play against one the TO look pretty normal.

Another thing who maybe counts against choosing tactic is the superiority for outside tactics, when nobody plays defense because a three pointer give more point and especially with good skilled ASD there are very less missed shots.
