i don't like teams who are fixed to one special defense, if you build your team as a specialised motion/run and gun team the standard play of motion is fine - but defense should be fit to your opponent.

You don't want to fall into a monotony. Even flamethrowers in baseball have a change up in their arsenal. If you play the same tactics game in and out, other teams will start to pick up on is and play to your weaknesses. Playing a 3-2 means they're going to pound your team inside. Playing a motion offense always means you're going to see a lot of 1-3-1's and 3-2's defenses to combat against. Neither situation is ideal for you.

If you've got a team built offensively (as CrazyEye has said) you can get away with playing a set offensive strategy, but for your defense you should always focus your defense on the strengths of your opponents.

I feast on teams that never change their offense and/or defense. So predictable. If you're committing your defense to my perimeter, why wouldn't I go inside on you for mildly contested shots and avoid a swarm of defenders on the outside?

because if you specialize in attack, you could have better players so they they could kill those swarm of defenders. This concept works for many teams the Bulls, Tatttoro played nearly one tactics and are very succesfull(ok toroo maybe change that after his second BBB win in row, i don't follow him that much) ...

Sorry I would contend that the Bulls where one of the best defensive teams. 1 offense yes but they where amazing defenders.

And just think how much MORE successful they'd be if they moved the offense away from the defense!

i know a lot of teams, teams who specialised on one attack and teams who played fluffy - the think i BBB was dominated mostly from the specialist teams ... So it is an acceptable strategy, to make a rooster who just can attack outside/inside even when your opppenents play 2-3 or 1-3-1/3-2

Also what is "more" then maximum succes.

I wish we had a second inside defense tactic like 1-3-1 zone for outside defense.

Hey, I am playing a team in the first round of finals and they always play Motion with a 2-3 zone. Whats the best way to attack that with my choices?
