So... just to have some ideas to set the draft order... might be:
* Players with 1-2 stars are more frequently useless?
* Players with some more stars (3-4) but low potential (1-2) might be the same?
* Would you say that it is better to bet on the players with no information if I have some of these two cases in my draft?

Thanks for the ideas! (my first time drafting, so I have no clue what might be a reasonably decent player)

Yes, with the except that 1star players (especially F ones) are great for SC and minute management of real players - cause there is a solid chance they will have salaries around 1k or lower.

Regarding the draft and scouting purposes, I've noticed that some players play 20 mins while some play 40 mins in the box score.

Does that mean the players who have played 40 mins are potentially better then the ones who have played 20 mins?

i believe that have something to do with the stamina, about the overall quality the balls are the better indicator.

OK I don't know who to pick first on my draft list, deciding between two players.
Player1 : 5 Star, Grade A and 4 Potential, but really bad box score 0-8 FG in 20 mins.
player2 : 4 Star, Grade & Potential unknown, but 15-19 FG in 40mins.
Would it be wise to just go for the Grade A player be safe or gamble on Player 2?

I agree with the crazy one. The rating is concrete, the boxscore from one game is exactly that, one game.

Pick Player 1. Boxscore is a false friend, a hint what attributes that players has high (up to respectable except FTs and stamina). If it looks like he is great overall and has lower amount of balls/stars, I would be afraid of how bad is his defense.

I have looked at my drafts last season and this is what I had:
Season 8:
1: Star 4B, Pot 5. Had $3416 MVP (9)
2: Star 4? Pot?. Had $3439 Superstar (8)
3: Star 3? Pot? Had $2477 Starter (4)

Season 7:
1: Star 5A-, Pot 4. Had $3743 Perennial Allstar (7)
2: Star 5A-, Pot 3. Had $3847 Star (5)
3: Star 3?, Pot?. Had $2833 Allstar (6)

My guess is something like this:
For stars in $:
5: >3700
4: 2800-3700
3: 2300-2800
2: 1900-2300
1: <1900

Potential:
5: 9-11
4: 7-8
3: 5-6
2: 3-4
1:<3

But it is pretty wild guesses. If my information is pretty close to truth I would like 4 or 5 stars and at least 3 in potential but 2 could actually be quite ok. Much rather 4 star and 2 potential than 3 star and 5 potential if considering training possibilities. But I would still rather pick a 5 potential player as people would overpay for such player.

Comparing 18 and 19 year old drafts are also tricky. I would require pretty much to prefer a 19 year old player. I would rather have a 4 star and 2 potential player than a 4 star and 5 potential player that is 19 if I had to chose for my own training purposes. But again people will pay a lot to have a 5 potential player even with rather crap current capacity and a 2 potential player is not going to be especially good anyway so of such reason I would go with the 19 year old.

Haven't find anyone with a well estimated list for star and potential. I do not consider mine as especially good but it is much better than nothing to base your draft picks on
