my only problem with scrimmages is i always fear my opponent gives me a walkover when i want a player to play 48 minutes
by the way, do walkovers in scrimmages count in determining the league standings or only league walkovers count?

Only league walkovers.
NO ONE at this table ordered a rum & Coke
Charles: Penn has some good people
A CT? Really?
Any two will do
Any three for me
Any four will score
Any five are live

It´d be interesting if "Last scrimmage played" had importance at Fan Survey.
Then, everyone should play not only for minutes but for increasing fans satisfaction, and we won´t see walkovers anymore.

What do you benefit of from w/o in a scrimmage? Aren't your training spoiled if you leave a w/o?

I don´t know, i suppose that if there is a manager selling players before the scrimmage and he can´t afford it with the players´ minimun demanded then he makes a w/o harming to the other manager. This is what we should avoid.
What i feel it´s that scrimmages don´t count a lot and they should. If we give them more importance as all of we are proposing then the game will be more exciting for all.

The experimenting with tactics argument is absolute nonsense. IF your players are good enough or important enough to you they wouldve already had their minutes by the time your scrimmage comes about.
The need/convenience of a scrimmage is necessary after exiting cups... if you want to experiment why and keep depthe why not use Thursdays for a behind doors internal game between the players on your own roster?
If you havent got enough for 2 teams then you have to look externally for a match.
1) Advantage here is you get more training minutes / more risk of injury but this is a trade off for the extra depth your squad carries and money you invest.
2) You stick to normal scrimmages and simply have the same risks/training as now.

The problem with w/o in scrimmages must be very slow. Manager who lose match due to w/o loses a lot already from it so pretty pointless to add another punishment ...

I don´t believe that it were necessary to add any punishment, but scrimmages should count at fan survey, the arena attendance should appear at its page and any other option that gives scrimmage more importance.
Best regards

I think that for your team you are right. But your team is ranked third in the bb world, making it a very poor test case. There are lots and lots of teams in the low to mid level leagues that have much larger rosters than you do and have more players of similar skill level. For managers of these teams, it is indeed a great chance to experiment with various lineups, tactics, etc. Even if a team's starters have played, the coach can still see the effects of different tactics because of the similarity in skill level of a larger roster of players.
Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

Why not use post-cup scrimmage time to address another problem - the issue of of 5th place being stuck on an island?
Expanding a conference to, say, 2 divisions of 5 teams each would only generate a few extra fixtures - few enough that they could be played after the cup final on what's now Scrimmage Day. And with the top two in each division going to playoffs, the bottom side auto-relegated, there'd be no more tanking for match cash. Before the cup had finished, cup-eliminated teams could play scrimmages as normal.
