Please, is there any progress with this bug?

Enough already. The issue is obviously known, and Mark has commented on the progress once. If there's something to report, I'm sure he will again.

you have 3K lower tier seats, he had 800, that is related to the difference.

I'm sorry, are you BB-mark's PR officer? Does GM's exactly know what are BB's working on right now?
I'm not sure, it's enough. He wrote quick info in this forum more than 17 hours ago (and nothing more since that). Than more than 9 hours ago I mentioned some attendances has been changed, but I reported it still looks strange. But no other info they are or not working on it.

I think it's very serious bug, so we should be informed more. It's very hard for us with present information to set ticket prices for Tuesday match.
I would be satisfied for the moment with one short sentence "We are working on it." written by one of BB's.

Of course not, and not always. I do know that the BB's read the forum, including every bug thread. And I do know that as a GM part of my duty is to keep order in the forums, including enforcing the rules, one of which is not bumping threads.

I appreciate the information you've provided in this thread, but please don't post again simply asking if a BB is looking at the issue. I'm sure they are (or soon will be) giving the issue the attention it deserves. If you have concerns about my role in this thread, feel free to contact me directly.

i have been looking at it this morning, as of yet i am not convinced there is a bug, but i am continuing to look at these examples, most of the confusion seems to be from people quoting only the bleacher numbers without attention to the number of other seats sold.

edit: also, there were in the past differences from game to game, that might account for some of the particular examples shown here, because there are many factors that go into attendance.

ok, can you explain me attendances of this 2 teams (teams are also mentioned above)?

(49362) BS Frydek
(49390) Flumpaci

Both managers have level 6 PR manager (if they gave me correct information). Frydek should have better Fan Survey at the start of the season according to previous results and also little bit more season tickets holder.

Frydek - 14293 2300 600 25 17218
Flumpaci - 16000 1800 400 20 18220 (sold out, so even more spectacor should have come)

Frydek had lower prices of tickets for all types of seats. In my eyes overall attendance 17218 for Frydek and 18220 for Flumpaci is very curious.

okay.. looking into this, nobody got less money than they were suppose to.. A few teams, did get slightly more bleachers than they should have this week, although the bug is fixed going forward. We didn't think it right to take money away from teams that got more than they should have initially because of our screwup. Essentially we calculated the right number, compared it to the number they got and updated it if and only if the correct number were higher.

I havnt been affected by this "bug" but still I must say something. It is obvious to me that there is something wrong. It seems to me as somewhere in your code there is something like this.

More than 20 000 seats -> less bleachers sold
Less than 20 000 seats -> normal

I would love to see comparison between two teams - one of them having 19 999 seats and the second one having 20 001. Cant you track some of these?

there was a bug, it was affecting teams with large attendances selectively, causing them to get penalized, it was a simply transcription error from the code we tested to the code we used, it was my mistake.

We fixed the error in the original code as of 4:30 yesterday, then we had to come up with a solution to try to repair the damage that was already done, the solution we came up with wasn't perfect... for there was no perfect solution because teams which got more money than they should have might have spent that money already and been unduly damaged by us taking money away, so we chose only to increase the amount of money that was spent. Having spot checked the correct formula (the one we tested) on the spot cases given, the attendances match up for the lower of the two quoted, but sometimes the upper number is too high, meaning that if we were able to roll back time and run things through with the code as it stands now those teams would have got less.

I would say now going forward things should be good, and you should look at tuesday's results before you make more complaints.

So now, we don't know how many visitors to expect next home game cause we don't know if we get the right amount of visitors or soem extra we shouldn't get. Great for planning.

If you have a capacity of less than 19k you should have been fine

I know it's not ideal. I apologize
I screwed up
