It would also be nice to see the ASG played with a recent game engine. The current one is from season 3, I think.

Fantastic idea! That would give a little something extra to the game involvement. Plus - maybe - instead of 4 players maybe 6 players per position (12 guards total, 12 forwards total, 6 centers total)... :)

How about the idea that the 2 conferences discuss which tactic they want to play (offense and defense) and the BB's scrap the voting and just select the BEST players for the tactic chosen from the entire rosters of the 8 teams in the conference?

And what if the mnager elected doesn't care about the other players in his league and doesn't want the bother of picking a side for the ASG?

Humans can't even agree on who deserves NBA Legendary ratings so why does it suddenly become this great idea that a human picks the team for his conference? Especially when he can't choose his own players (so he misses out on the fun of seeing his players in the game), at least one of whom probably deserves to be there, seeing as this voted for manager will in theory be one of the best in his conference.

When the computer does it no one can accuse it of bias and it can select from the full pool of players. It's just a little extra fun which you can keep track of for your own amusement, or not, as you please. Why all this fuss about nothing?

because its allstar week, not all lameweek which is what it is now, the vast majority of exp players feel its crap, it nees some upgrades to make it an exciting part of the season. theres a thread in the suggestions forum where ideas are currently been thrown around

I hope this idea of making changes goes ahead - it has been the worst week of all seasons... when it COULD be a little better at least...

True, my enthusiasm took a big fall and some GS drops too.

If I ever get voted for by my conference to do anything that is lame.

The other teams in my conference are lame.

Their players are lame.

Me choosing tactics for a game I give not 2 hoots about is lame.

If I get voted to choose stuff and I can't put my players on the team, that is lame.

Other managers wanting to make changes where I have to vote for some other schmuck I don't trust to choose tactics/players in the ASG is lame.

The whole fuss that allstar week isn't exciting enough is lame.

Enjoy the holiday and do something else instead of worrying about a game which doesn't even affect you. I assume all the complainers have something else to do with their lives. If not maybe they should find something.
