I just want to emphasize something to all the managers in this league.

The main theme of our fantasy league is to promote good strategy and matchups. What we want to DISCOURAGE is simply winning by having more games played. Pangit ang quantity over quality.

For me, and majority of the more serious fantasy managers, winning JUST by NUMBER OF GAMES PLAYED is both cheesy and tiring.

Now having said this, if you have ideas as to how to make the league more competitive and ENJOYABLE, please provide your input.

Thanks!

Game Day is Tomorrow! Let's all have fun!

But before that I just want to say something and offer some advice to those who are new to this.

First of, The Weekly lineup thing is not exactly what I expected it to be. I did not realize that we cannot set different lineups for each day as I thought that we could still do it but had to have it ready before Monday. I guess I was wrong. For that I am sorry.

BUT. I still think that we can make this work and most of all make this very EXCITING and ENJOYABLE. If you watch NBA TV, this is still how NBA.COM Fantasy analysts play in their show. They still set up their roster for the entire week in hopes that their strategy and knowledge of the players and teams and matchups hold up during the week.

Some Tips for your weekly strategies.

#1 - Know your strengths. (i.e. 3PTM, PTS, AST, REB, etc)
#2 - Know your opponent's(for that week) strength
#3 - Choose which stats you want to win against your opponent.
#4 - Fight the fights that you can win. (i.e. If you have Dwight, don't bother trying to win FT% if they have Nash)
#5 - Depending on your player level and depth, you can choose quantity of games over quality of games by picking a less skilled player but have 2 more games than your elite player. This can be very effective when trying to win a certain stat that you need.
#6 - Read up on NBA news especially on rumors and injuries
#7 - DON'T FORGET TO CHECK YOUR LINEUP BEFORE MONDAY. ;)

I hope this is useful for other H2H noobs like me ;)

Good luck to all!

Have Fun!

Competition is heating up as the games get going. Matchups are going back and forth and is still anyone's game with Saturday and Sunday games closing in.

Will post Week 1 summary and analysis as soon as it concludes :)
