the thing i luv about the aussie community, whilst we are all competing against each other, everyone is willing to pass on advice and help Australia as a BB nation get better... unlike most online games where people keep shit to themselves so they can get ahead..


Yeah i agree; however, we have a team in our league at present who had an awesome 18 yr olds (HOF) last season who didn't get a minutes worth of training. Added to this was the fact that the guy obviously never read the manual as he had no idea as he lets his players GS go to shit. I desperately wanted to BBmail him and say "hey mate, what's the deal with Jolly," but I didn't. Why? If this guy sorted out his shit (JS and training) he will be another roadblock for me leaving Div III.3. I know this sounds pretty shitty but hey, this is also a game. While I'm the first to offer advice on any question posed, I'm not going to give an opponent the key to beating me. Especially when he's not active in the forums. Is this too harsh?

Yeah the III.6 forums are dead as a doornail. Glad I got the fishbowl and this forum to fall back on when I'm bored sheesh

Hey Leeroy. You might like to know that because of your strong performance in the North this past season in our only game (you punished me) I went into tank mode. lol Only just recovered recently enough to start rebuilding. Thanks. lol

Yeah that's what some of the Calamari boys said, citing that you were (are) a pretty strong team. I wasn't satisfied and made some changes. It's all good. That's the great thing about BB, you can always try new things if you're not happy with the way things go. I'm not satisfied with my current lineup but I'll get there. My trainees will be awesome in another season or two.

i would prolly send him a pm, not offering any advice straight up, but point him to the forums and say 'hey mate, nice player u got there, if u have any questions feel free to ask on the forum here..." that way, it puts the onus on them..

at the start of each season, i PM all newcomers to the league and direct them to the forum.. this year i think only 1 guy replied, and he has been doing a stellar job of getting his ship in order.

From memory, Skyhookz, I did do something like that. I've been so tempted to BBmail him and give him some advice. If nothing else, he'd make some easy money on Jolly. Maybe I should just do it!

See, half a dozen or so beers and I'm ready to give my opponents the instruction manual on how to beat the Magick! lol

You dont have to give him the great secret to life, but maybe just point out - dude awesome player you have there, what r ur plans with him? then let him dictate the direction of any further correspondance from there :D

It is done!

I just emailed him. Spoke about the talent that Jolly was, is and about some general stuff like maintaining GS and the like. Tried to give this advice without making him feel like a dick! ah well, we'll see what comes from it.
