I keep scouring the TL, but there's never anything remotely close to what I currently have... so, I keep 'scouring'.

Normally you are very helpful so I will assume the tone here is just the result of your frustration with your injury.

1) Ikouga is better than Kawagichi. I never claimed otherwise.

2) Kawagichi needs more OD. It wasn't always possible this season and last when I was fighting for the best record in D2 and now trying to stay in in the JBBL to always play him in league which meant lots of 1 on 1 so he and Shin could both play in the scrimmage. For all guards this game starts and ends at OD. Shin is 18 and already has prominent OD, his next best stat is strong. He will hopefully be at least wondrous when he joins the U21 team at age 21. If I was the coach I would almost always go with the player with the best OD.

3) Unless you go through the minutes in detail you can't know who played against whom. It is a good guess but not certain. Also in this game their starting PG played 46 minutes so MAYBE Kawagichi got 2 minutes against someone weaker or maybe not you would have to look at the game log. That he played against a weaker opponent just doesn't seem to be true. Even if in a game he did play more minutes against a backup you also can't know what the defence of the opponent is. The backup could have better defence but maybe be worse in the holy grail, worse JR!!!

4) I suspect you don't really believe you can judge a player by 1 game. If we have to all I can say is Ikouga is brilliant and hitting 2/3 of his shots and getting 17 PTS 8 AST a game will make him one of the best PGs in Asia. But more likely is that Costa Rica sucked, all our starters had great games.

5) I don't want Ikouga injured or in bad GS and Kawagichi is very happy coming off the bench. He has had his season of not even being on the roster while Ikouga got minutes and experience. Now he hopefully gets a turn and he just wants to help.

He has my vote.

-on point though. It likes kawagichi as much as Shogun LOL. But we got my normal starters, including Ikouga, draining the 3 all game.

Coach > Wolph :P

Seriously that was a smart move to test it with the blank lineup. The coach knows that Ikouga is our best PG but there is a decent alternative whereas at SG we have nothing so it played him at SG and kawagichi at PG. Very odd stats, kawagichi hit 7/8 FGs which is nice (and a lot better than a certain Trail Blazer who went 1/13 lol) but got only 1 assist from the PG spot while Ikouga got 8 and even that Trail Blazer manager 7. Wolph can see kawagichi's stats, he should be passing a lot better than shooting. Wolph you also said forget club games, lets see how he goes in international games, well 0 3 pointers in 26 minutes seems to back up my theory so far.

One other thing, maybe you were right about Wakatsuki sucking. Not only did he have only 8 points in 28 minutes playing as our starting PF but he managed just 3 rebounds and had a +/- of -8, we were losing while he was on the court yet won overall by 27, he was a huge negative.
