When I'm buying outside players, the JS-JR gap is my main criterion next to OD. I never buy players with JS = JR, or JS < JR. JR is boosting the salary and in no case is needed to be above 17.

However, my players' stats show:
1. 15-12
22.7 mpg, 13.5 pts, FG% 0.44, 3p% 0.45

2. 16-13
26.6, 17.2, 0.48, 0.28 (probably because of subskills, which make the difference >3)

3. 14-11
23.5, 12.7, 0.48, 0.33

4. 13-10
22.1, 10.2, 0.45, 0.31

5. 12-10
25.8, 14.1, 0.46, 0.34

These are pretty good numbers, 0.49 and 0.34 on the team level (all players included).

Regarding JR>JS, I have to summon this guy's name. His JR was 18, only boosted his salary, made him the most useless player ever. His JS is several levels lower. OD 18, good defender, but terrible presence. No wonder he was sacked.

I like your idea, just for the sake of experiment. The numbers won't go much higher but salary will, that's my opinion.

PS. Let's say my nation is more competitive. Two seasons in a row I'm in best 32 of cup tournament (six rounds completed), which is around the number of total users in Japan/Nippon. No B3 and no connections with the NT needed. I don't find myself a very good manager.

I hope you'll inform us if you get any interesting results from that experiment.

He had no IS, RB around 6-7, can't remember everything.

.365 3 point% isn't good if JR is 18. I have players with JR 10-13 shooting better percentage. It could also be affected by a player's mentality, some shoot more, some less ill-advised shots. It's probably not a good idea to prove something statistical through just one player.

I'm interested in your experiment and will do my own.

Dado had JS 16, JR 18 and OD 18. His handling was 7 and driving 11. Really useless set of skills.
Anyway, I would like to compare my two players from the last season :

One had JS 16, JR 10, FG%= 43.8%, 3FG%= 32.8 %

The second one had JS 12, JR 15, FG% = 44%, 3FG%= 40.2 %

imho shooting percentages are a lot effected by team instead of individual skills. When i trained offense skills and mostly one trained player was on the court, the player nearly keep his shooting percentage, but start taking more shoot and the shooting percentage of the team sligthly increase over the season.

Also three point percentage of 4close to 40% is good in buzzerbeater, and mostly impacted by tactic, if you play mostly outside tactics you can reach this value but playing more often inside will lead to games where the team shoot 10-20% three and him getting those desperation shots.

Overall i also like the JS a little higher then Jr(~10%), but big differences on those two skills lead to bad performances for the skillsum.

I think that JS 16 and JR 18 is really poor skillset, affecting player's salary a lot. I would always go for JS 18, JR 16. I meant to say that Driving = 11 and Handling = 7 is nothing compared to other, main skills for player of that level. Driving and Handling overall can't be useless.
To conclude, this player was great prospect in U21 but his other, very bad, skills and extreme salary made him a free agent.
