94I've been thinking about this joke for a while and here it is... There's a reason why they're called The Winnerz. Eh?! Eh?! You like? What, you don't? Oh... Fair enough. Well, on with it then.
The Shepparton Shooters had no belief in themselves this game. They walked on the court with their heads down, shoulders slumped and were just waiting for a loss. Maybe it's cause they were playing The Winnerz!!! Ahhh.. Strike two...
3 Points - Chris Johnson (WIN) Chris isn't just known for his Johnson, he's also known for his shooting ability. In the post-game interview, he mentioned something about the basket being a massive- but the interviewer cut it short. I want my own shooting to get better, so I'm really curious what he was going to say.
8 rebounds and 28 points off 13-16 fgs give Johnson a long lead for the 3 MVP points.
2 Points - Xiong Weipeng (SHE) Xiong, the Australian born Asian named Greek looking rockstar had a decent performance, with yet another perfect night from the charity strike. In fact, this season, he just can't miss. I wonder if he's bean chatting to Johnson about his in-depth shooting theories. Even if he is, it's only working from the free throw line. That being said, The Winnerz coach did mention that they were going to punish him if he tried to take it to the basket.
Xiong managed game highs in rebounds (14) and points (31 - 10-22 fgs) and had a nice little steal to top it off.1 Point - Mihály Paizs (WIN) Paizs wasn't a standout with his own statistics, but was the man defending hard against Xiong. While Johnson was getting his in easily, Paizs was preventing his opponent from doing the same. He had really right D, right from the start.
His 11 boards and 2 steals, added with his defensive efforts earns him a point in the MVP race.
