risky move - adams guns got lotsa cash me thinks.

Totally agree

Adams Guns Must have at least 10 mill in the bank. How far Adams Guns if they try?

Even if one was to look past Adams Guns (brave move), Akumas roster has no depth and must surely at some stage put a strain on his finances.

There will be plently of cheap wins against him as you cant stretch 4 or 5 players over 3 games a week even if you were just to train game shape.

Duffill wont be worth any where as much in merchandise if his game shape goes to ruin and he cant make the Aussie team

Likes of Windies last season had 9 or 10 handy players yet were still able to save 100 to 150 K per week and use this money to buy in beasts when it really mattered.

As long as teams do not concede and instead put there best line ups up against him each game, I reckon he is going to be in trouble as he wont get a home court advantage in the finals.

Then again if he still has millions in his sky rocket and can afford to bomb out in the early rounds of the cups, then I guess he could realistically win most of his games

Promises to be an interesting season.

I was close a couple of times to buying in the swingman I wanted, but given my primary focus will be on training I might wait a week or two first

If you dont already hold the record for the most promotions to the ABBL you certainly could set one.

What do you make of Akumas move?

TAK has proven to be quite the 'Cunning' manager in the past.... haha... ahhh see what i did there?!?!

errr... anyways, he has proven to be clever in his management in previous seasons.

Whilst all of what you say is true, he might just do what he did last season - tank all away games, forfiet the cup and play his super lineup on his home games.
maybe sneak in an odd away win here or there, finish 3rd or 4th, and he still goes into the finals with that same lineup.

Come finals time, doesn't matter how badly his regular season has gone, as long as that lineup is in the final's, im worried. He has a proven history of thinking outside the box, so im interested to see what he does.

Well if he tanks his cup games and trains game shape he could win just about all of his games both Home and Away

I did actually think your quip about him being "Cunning" was actually quite clever but I could never imagine there being another you

hahaha you guys are looking way too much into it

I'm not sure if you all know, but the XBB Federation was a fed formed by a group of close RL mates.. we all started playing together in Season 9. I dunno why, but back then when we signed up, everyone got some really good trainees.

Ky Smeltz
Kye Duffill
Taylor Waterhouse
Alfred Rooney

Abimbola came later, as I came to play a few seasons behind everyone else.
Anyway, we've always talked up our best players, and we always thought how awesome would it be if we had an "allstar" team that comprised of all our players. That's what this is all about - I've been saving money for many seasons so that I could have one season where my team would essentially be the XBB all star team

I doubt I'll be able to go all the way and win it all - there are too many clever managers that are cashed up in this league. I've probably already put myself at a disadvantage by buying up so early. There are so many teams that will be able to buy up a huge lineup close to the playoffs that will be able to demolish me. But hey, it's going to be one hell of a fairy tale story if I can make it all the way :)

Anyway its all just a bit of fun..nothing sinister going on here haha.

Reckon the reincarnation of DFBS is not too hard to spot on the forums.

What was the story of SAStroopers going bot after making the ABBL?

With regards to the first round of games, I must say I was very impressed with the debut of the New MJP Sun-Devils.

Very balanced roster and made short work of Avalon Jets with all his players ranking quite well.

Could be a team to watch and will certainly have my attention leading up to my game against them on Tuesday.

Edit -

VIOS I nearly severly underestimated an opponent because you didnt give us your pants down review.

Ive just done some more research against my upcoming opponent New MJP Sun-Devils.

They have been around since season 3 and are on their 6th team name

Obviously a very experienced Manager having spent 6 SEASONS IN THE ABBL

Come back VIOS this is why we need you to drop these newcomers pants

16 teams in this league and 5 of these teams have previously each spent MULTIPLE seasons in the ABBL
