First off chilllllllll. Every skill has secondary skills it trains. In reality if you are a BAMF at JS then more than likely you dont suck at free throws. So why do players with a high skill set of JS and IS can literally blow at FT. This game should and is pretty realistic.
I am "chill", thank you very much. lol
Training in this game is completely unrealistic. And for a good reason - to add a strategy element to it. This proposal removes strategy from the game, and therefore I find it to be a negative for the game. And since it has basically been proposed regularly for 4 years, I'm going to guess the BBs may feel similarly.
That's why we should strive to make those changes so that BB reflects real life basketball as much as it can. Yes? ;)
And to do that, my non-serious proposal of forcing everyone to train free-throws once every season is actually
much more realistic than this proposal. But you shot that down, didn't you? lol.
There is no need for this proposal. There has been no need for this proposal, which is probably why despite it being made very frequently and being extremely easy to implement, it has never been implemented.
We already have the silly cross-training effect, implemented to deal with the completely non-realistic approach to training taken by most managers. The game is dominated by min-maxers (which is to be expected with any game) who really aren't interested in "real" basketball as much as they are at "winning" regardless of how unrealistic their players' skills are, their own training program is, their tactical choices, and so on. The current training of FTs at least requires such people to at least suffer a little bit for their refusal to train free throws. This proposal simply reduces that penalty and further encourages everyone to not train FT directly. Which is why I feel it is a bad idea for the game.
