Gone quite in here bow that we've seen most teams and what there plans anyone have any thoughts on the season and its outcomes.
Looks like the blue side is stronger than the red after first of cross conference game leading 5 to 3

Well I thought i would be battling to make playoffs however seeing how I have gone early this season I have readjusted my plans. I am now scouring the transfer market for a bargain player or two that will tip me over the edge and give me a shot of winning. Really need a starting SF and then one or two more back-ups.

The goal was always to come up with a competitive team but to come up and be equal top in our conference this early is a bit of a surprise, the early cup exit helps but hopefully can keep it up and have a crack at finals.

I am quite the opposite. I thought I had the team that would be first but it turned out that I am struggling to make the play off. So far, I think these are the teams that have a good chance of making final, JW, yourself and RED.

It's still a bit early to predict what RED really want to do this season but I am leaning towards promoting. He still has a few missing pieces from being competitive and after having spent on massive salaries last season, I am not sure he still has money to be competitive.

JW seems to have a team that can easily beat any of us at the moment but he probably will have issues when we start spending for the play off. JW has been running with high salaries for a while so I assume he has no money. The question for anyone wanting to promote this season would be, can they afford guards that will stop JW's guns?

For your team, I am surprised to see such defensive rating from a relatively low salaries. Even though
you beat JW, I still think your team will struggle to beat JW's team at their full strength (no TIE). I guess you are already aware of this that's why you want to buy a few more players.

Anyways, I am still indecisive of what I want to do this season. I thought my trainees were ready to compete but was confronted with reality after the first three losses. I will have to revise my plan closer to the play off. For now, I'll just try to be as competitive as I can with my current team.

I think your right about that....
I'm 5-4 and pretty lucky to be sitting 3rd in the conference.
I have rebuilt my team so that we can compete in this league respectively.
And it looks like we might even be pushing for a playoff spot come the end of the season if we can replicate our performance against the Great 8 conference later in the season and even though I know we can't compete with the top teams yet I would still be thrilled to be in the playoffs. But for I now I'm pretty sure we are good enough to hang around for a few season while I save up cash and build for future title runs.

I think having so many teams as potential contenders certainly makes it interesting coming down the stretch, do you go early on purchases to ensure GS and try and scare off any potential challenge or keep your cards close to you chest and buy up late not giving anyone else a chance to see what your plans are.

although JW has about an extra $100k in salaries he has also managed to bank cup money every week so I don't know if he is banking as much as myself or some of the others but I don't think he will be poor. Probably have enough for one more decent purchase late in the season.

I really feel this will be a season were it will require some very good management of team/finances to promote, hopefully that will be me :)

Well I guess I will be the first to make a move. Didn't really think I would get him at that price but reasonabbly happy with that purchase, gives me a very solid starting 5 now to suss out weather I need another back up or not?

wow, i didn't know that people are still paying that much for a 31 year old. I guess he must be really balanced and looking at his stats, he must be a scorer with good inside skills like rebounding... congrats mate.

ha was talking to a mate that plays and said that i bought him at 1.7m and overpaid, I got excited when bidding for him but he is very well balanced and will hopefully pay off in promotion for me at the end of the year.

Not the best start though losing in OT after getting GDP wrong, lower enth & playing away...

bad luck on the loss mate. I was lucky to win my game. Had my SG injured 10 minutes into the game and was down by 4 in the last 60 seconds. Hit two 3-pointers to equalise and finished the game off with dunk from one of my guards :). This is why I love buzzerbeater lol.
