Blowing up my team so I can actually start making money. Gonna build around my guy Elmer probably won't be competitive for sometime.

I am making some changes as well. My leading scorer Karny will be sold to make room for up and coming SF Berry, who will play mostly G/F next season!

Just curious does anyone here actually invest in the draft? I did One year and it was absolutely not worth it at all.

If you have a good trainer and can afford it, I think it's worth investing in 2 points a week. The first 2 points are worth 5k ea which is much cheaper than the other points. 2 points a week will give you enough to do a group demonstration of the lower prospects, which you can then scout a second time to discover their potential. Every time I've used this strategy, I discovered at least one of the lower prospects had a 4 or 5 ball potential rating. Unless other managers do the same thing, those prospects are yours for sure. I haven't invested since they added the specific skill scouting options, but that's because I was getting whooped by you guys/girls every single season and my attendance was suffering. I plan on investing next season if I'm still in this league. I've figured out how to go about building a solid team and still make money.

With the 10 points I started with plus 4 from the last update, I've set these as my top picks.

I did the combine and made 4 interviews. I'll get potential ratings next week and they'll likely shift. Right now this 6'7" C build seems to have high TSP.

Personally, I'll not be avoiding extreme height if possible.

@SCCavs - It's not expressly prohibited in the forum guidelines http://bit.ly/1GmShNW . Though I do appreciate the heads up. Perpete may appear if there is an issue. Though compared to some of the legendary 'Wolph' posts, it's far from inflammatory.

Leagues collaboratively scouting their drafts results in saving the best players. It also adds to the realism since IRL draftees are scouted ad nauseum. Another plus, it can create interesting dialogue. A great example is why the stat lines are diff. Are the combine games unique for all managers?

Team draft scouting should be a encouraged IMO. More so for micronations, a high percentage of trainable players spawn on bot teams and take weeks off of training until they can be saved to the TL. I'm a 2x U21 manager (not for US). Drafts were always an uphill battle with that.

I trained a US21 player (30645400). He came with 58 TSP and needed every week of training to be able to make the team when he turned 21. His potential was only 6 so he capped early into his 5th season with 105 TSP. I landed him and another prospect by pulling back to back tanking seasons before RL'ng out of D3. I worked him 2 seasons with a Lvl 6 trainer and 2 seasons with a lvl 5. His break out game was a 29pt with 11rb, 4 ast, 2 blk effort against Paraguay (29288). All in only 23 mins. He just got saved to the TL and I have nowhere near funds to get him back. #Lulz

I was told by a user that has stayed active that D5 is all bot now. It used to be about 1/3 bot when I initially started in S16. To get up to D4 was somewhat competitive than D3 and beyond took work. I understand that the user base has shrunk considerably.

My current squad could handle a run in D5. If we end up staying, the RL series should be survivable projecting where training will be by season's end. I don't foresee bloating up to $100k salaries this season to compete. Big plan is to link whoever we pull from the draft with Fortune to be the core. Work them inside/out for the next few seasons while stacking arena.

Does anybody know if the offsite is still active?
