The difference between 48+ and 47 is pretty significant. That difference exponential increases with each minute further from 48+.

47 Minutes = 90%
46 Minutes = 81%
45 Minutes = 72%
44 Minutes = 65%
43 Minutes = 58%

You get three competitive games a week. You can't start your best players all three games. If you know that you are going to blow out a team so badly that garbage time will happen, it doesn't really make a lot of sense not to adjust your lineup and play a weaker lineup unless you have some PD consideration. It should be very easy to tell if this will happen when scouting your opponent.

I don't know if that game is the best example of CPDC distributing minutes because you entered garbage time at the end of the 3rd quarter which meant that your backups played for most 4th quarter.

Yeah that's the one I had in mind, apparantly I just mixed it up because that one goes by seconds and the one posted here was the simplified version. I stand corrected.

Strongly disagree with the statement that blowing a team out has no effect on trainees getting 48+ minutes. Wacky things happen in garbage time. I don't really recommend CPDC either.

blowing out is non advisable if you want your player to play 48 min.
play to lose on scrimmages. assign your center as PG, SG as PF, choose the worse tactics, anything you can do to avoid winning, or worse, blowing out.

9 players is also key. don't play with more than 9 players if you want 48 min.

then pray for your trainee don't commit many fouls and don't get injured.

that's pretty much it. works 80% of the time. there is no 100% warranty. still the best way to train. when it doesn't work, try to use his minutes changing the training to 1-on-1, stamina or free throws.
