England 87-78 Ukraine
We ended on a strong note with a good performance and win over Ukraine, but it wasn't enough for us to qualify. Robbie Duguid top scored with 21 points and kept us in the game in the first half, Shawn Bondi was able to get going in the 2nd half to get us the lead. Dougie Crombie had himself another hot game with 15 points in 12mins. Crombie has had an incredible end to the season. He has averaged 18 ppg in his 3 games, playing only 17.67 mins per game, shooting 64% FG and 73% 3FG.
With this game comes the unfortunate end to the competitive season, which means the end of the road for the 21 year old players. I would like to thank the managers for training the guys and giving us a chance to be competitive this season. Minus one key injury to Puffitt and we could have qualified, but that's the luck of BB. I will now be looking for some competitive scrimmages for the rest of the season against other nations using a u20 team. I will do some scouting of our u20 players and come up with a preliminary squad for the u20s.
