My only opinion and point of comment on this thread is that we don't go down the route of whole team training.

I think it's an important argument to consider!

But keep in mind there will ALWAYS be a most efficient option and people complaining this is the only way to play.

That's a big truth and it kind of diminishes the relevance of this discussion about change in training. kkkkkkkkk (Laughter in Portuguese)

I personally think retention is not the major issue of the game. Attracting new users is the #1 issue for me and retention then secondary. I have never encountered an advertisement in the wild for this game.

Here I disagree, but I'm okay to consider both issues with the same relevance.
Analyzing what happens in my country, I realize that 3-8 teams are created during a season in the worst league with active users (III), but the vast majority give up in the first week.

But I think greatly improving the manuals, easing the initial learning curve and UI, and marketing the game in targeted ways to players of complicated strategic sports games would be the right direction.

I also think this is very important!
I don't think there is a proper support for a new user to understand how the game works.

I don't think it's easy to find information about the real relevance of investing in the arena, something a priority for a team in the long term.
I also find the issue of training complicated, as we have discussed before.
Etc, etc.
