Again, thanks for all the help! I'm going to read through this thread again in case I have missed anything. :)

In the meantime... Staff.

The strategy I'm developing at the moment is similar to how I started on Hattrick: to focus on earning money and building my fanclub. I'm not interested in results or paying huge player salaries. There are enough bots in this league to win a few games each season!

With that in mind, here are my startup staff:

Logan MacKendrick
Doctor
Skill Level: 1
Speciality: None
Last week's salary: $ 2 455
This week's salary: $ 2 479

Michael MacKean
Trainer
Skill Level: 1
Speciality: None
Last week's salary: $ 2 455
This week's salary: $ 2 479

Adam MacHugh
PR Manager
Skill Level: 1
Speciality: None
Last week's salary: $ 2 455
This week's salary: $ 2 479

And some questions:

1. Does my strategy sound sensible for a startup team? I'll move onto playing to win eventually, but just not quite yet.

2. Due to my strategy I don't think I need a better doctor. Right?

3. I guess a Trainer and a PR Manager are required though. What levels would you recommend?

4. I haven't checked the transfer market yet, but I guess specialities come at a price...

5. Do you have any other tips or advice regarding staff?

Cheers, folks! :)

The most important staff is a good (at least level 4, should be 5) trainer, he needs no speciality in your situation.

If your arena is still that small you needn't to have a PR-Manager over level 3; and a doctor level 2-4 can help you, that your Trainees wont be injured so often; which helps you during the training process.

I would say start with doc lvl 1 or 2 (injuries are quite rare). PR lvl 2 to start until you up your arena. And a lvl 4 trainer. Most say lvl 5 but i dont actually think it's too big a difference for the $200,000 difference in price. Make sure you go for the guy with the lowest starting salery.
