No time, sorry. Always thought I would be but the last two years have been killers.

To the community:

It is illegal to advertise at this stage but the contest is wide open. I know of no candidates at the moment. If you think you have the skills and credentials to do the job then this is your chance.

I am only one voter and this is just my opinion but this is what I would be looking for:

1) Longevity. You don't have to be ABBL or even division II but I am simply not voting for someone that just signed up and may be gone in a month. Experience is a big factor in this game I would like a candidate with at least a few seasons under their belt.

2) Good communication skills. Getting the community involved and excited is important. It is a game, I want someone that will make it fun. Annoying people is probably not useful for getting the best from them although some people do need the occasional harsh word when they constantly mess up game shape. I would like to see the offsite forums livened up a bit.

3) Understanding of the game engine and tactics. I have said many times that right now a moronic 10 year old could just run blanks/LI/M2M but in Australia I think we expect a bit more than that and some evidence of your tactical nous is key.

4) Work ethic. Having run teams in India and Bolivia I can tell you that there is certainly a lot of work involved with this job if you do it properly.

5) A passion for the game and our nation. Can't fake this. Some people love this and others are indifferent. If any of you have ever worn the green and gold in a real sporting competition you will know it is a feeling like no other. I want to see some real Aussie Pride.

This is just me, you can feel free to ignore everything I have said but if this sounds like you then maybe you should start thinking about running as our national team coach.

Not the best communication skills definately but I do communicate with a lot of the Australian community. And you all know, I can make this fun and exciting in an instant.

3) Understanding of the game engine and tactics. I have said many times that right now a moronic 10 year old could just run blanks/LI/M2M but in Australia I think we expect a bit more than that and some evidence of your tactical nous is key.

By now I have a solid enough understanding of tactics. I have pulled off some decent upsets during my time here thanks to decisions i have made regarding tactics. ive been around tactical discussion for numerous U21/NTs aswell.

4) Work ethic. Having run teams in India and Bolivia I can tell you that there is certainly a lot of work involved with this job if you do it properly.

check, and if i actually got a proper gig (no assistant bs) i'd easily have sustained motivation for an entire term

CHECK!!! no doubt about it.

I know. I'm not running this offseason. Just want to remind everyone that there won't be a better option until I'm given a chance and a fair go. Until then... Goodluck

To be fair I think a few of us have let the team down this season. I just didn't feel excited about them and their prospects this season. Well there were exceptions, a couple of players I loved but most were not so great and we didn't have depth. Some seasons they are great others ordinary. I think next season's U21s look a lot more interesting.

Just reminding everyone that it is less than a week until we have our NT manager elections. It is still illegal to promote yourself but our very successful team needs someone very capaable to continue the great work Whitebeard has done. If you are a top manager with a bit of spare time then seriously consider running, we would love to hear from you (as soon as it is legal next week).

I think we need Naker to investigate to find a loophole to get around this.
