I just got tough guy advice from a professor in the game. I thank him and now you. I am not ready for D4.

Detonation! Wrecking Crew Season is over in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, EXPLOSION!

Breaking news, TOugh plans to detonate his team now! He'll start from scratch and will build his team from ground up again. He got advice from a very experienced professor. This is what he said;
Ok clearly my sarcasm wasn't obvious enough. So I will be very clear with as little sarcasm as possible.

First, this is the Help forum. You ask a question and those that know some things about this game will answer your question as best they can.

Now by your own admission, in a previous thread you said you just joined this game, and clearly have been very active (which I commend you) with your team and on these forums. But as you said you have relatively little knowledge of the game.

When you ask a question and someone answers it, and it is not what you want to hear, maybe what you want to hear is not possible.

For example, you asked about your SF "prospect" and you were told by some people, myself included, that he was too old to be a prospect and that you should probably find another younger one. You then proceded to disagree with our suggestion. Then one "compassionate" person paid a compliment to your player and you responded by thanking him for saying something "good" because he said something that you wanted to hear.

Moving on to this post. You asked what you should do in your next game. You received an answer. You did not like the answer and are now trying to get people to tell you something you want to hear.

Lesson of this post: Listen to those that answer your questions, they probably know what they are talking about. If the answerer is wrong there are a ton of people that enjoy sharing their knowledge and will correct what he said.

That is all.

Troy Valmont Saga

Well, Mark Reyes on the case, I was able to get a lead. This is from EBW;
Troy hasn't logged on since 5/16 (AKA right after he put Salas and Arthur up for sale) and he hasn't even gotten on to see how much they sold for..

Still hunting for leads. We'll see what Cometahalley has to say. I think he may have a big lead too.... Also will try to contact Troy's mentor, Hopson. Mark Reyes reporting.To Be Continued

Well, things are going out of control here in Houston, mad friends of tough, and and a little mad Chekreyes..... "Ok, what I really want to do is to get 5th, build my arena to 8k, then will go for promotin. I just can't vuild any seats with my $$$ right now! Man, this is kinda frustrating......." says tough. They just aquired a guy named Henrique Forjaz, primarily for his high Inside scoreing. "My plan (if all the players sell) IS to get James and James as many minutes as they can so they can get training done. Then I'll start Dekis and Forjaz together in the Cup match. My aim is (with luck and no D3 to face) to ake it to the (at least) the 5th round, if not more, because That $$$ would help me to get through with building.......I really want ot build seats. I only got 5170, still need 3900 more." says tough. We spoke to the new Eagle. "Well, hope I can bring in as many points as I can this season. I also hope to do good contributing, and to help out a lot. Let's go Mountain Eagles!" Stay tuned for all the latest news, scores, highlights, and more with The Eagle. This is David Anderson, reporting for The Eagle.

Sounds to me like the GM isn't doing the job right if he can't keep you competitive, and have enough $$$ coming in to expand your arena. Ah, and with only 4 americans on the roster... and how many are homegrown? Your merchandising takes a BIG hit. Fans might want to see Americans playing on your team.

You may be right, buy like 80-90% of sucessful BB teams have 85% of their roster foreign. The other 10-20% is the opposite.....

Are 85% of the successful teams in Div V?

They probably already have their stadiums built up.

I meant overall. Anyways, I'm going to search (when I have enough $$$ and able to have a great arena; AKA 8000) for USA players. I don't know why but a lot of USA guys are good, they're expensive. So I was stuck with foreign players....

Arena starts universally at 5k right? What did you do with your 300K seed money?

I invested 150k (750 bleacher seats), right off the bat, and then with the 150k I toyed and played shopping for players.
9 of my 12 players were acquisitions through the TL, and 4 of my 12 active, or 4 of the 9 I purchased. Were foreign. 2 are of "trainee" age.. but neither is a trainee.
2 were cornerstones of team though. Or as the Denver Daily will refer to them...
"The Captain" and "The MVP"

Hmmm........didn't have a mentor yet, so stupidly spent it all on aquisitions, old guys, and others that I don't even have no more.........pretty much scewed myself into a tiny hole and stuck there now until I sell these players, aim is to get 400k out of this, then use it all to build my arena............To 6200 seats. first

I don't have a mentor... but those help manuals, and game faq things they have. Their "recommended" reading... yessir, very helpful stuff indeed. Also the timing of when I started helped for getting people so cheaply as the Transfer List was overflowing with players etc. So I could pick and choose whom I wanted, and for how much, and if they went up too high I said screw it, and looked for a diff guy similar to what I need, that was in my price range.

I still have fine tuning to do too... or I would have just cut the 5-6 guys, instead of trying to sell on TL... cost me an extra 15K in the player salaries on the financial update, and for what... trying to get 6-10K extra from TL... stupid stupid... bonks self
