Well, if we can decrease the lag by turning off the site on Monday/Wednesday and moving NT/B3 games + transfers accordingly, I'm for it - just inform us about planned break earlier.

a one week break would be the best solution if it is possible.

But communicate a lot about it

This. I could totally get behind a one week break, fix the game and don’t give us false hope like we have now. And Marin has got to give us more clear communication. I understand he is in a tough spot, but the complete lack of communication about the standings not updating (still hasn’t said anything about that), what appears to be a breakdown in the financial update and problems with games running is a terrible look.

I guess Marin could post an update every hour. Something like "there's still a server problem." What purpose would that serve though? Communication isn't really the issue. There's a server problem. That's the issue.

Disagree. The server problem is absolutely the #1 problem, but the lack of communication as to what is and isn't effected is also a problem. People are reporting impacts around updates to injuries, enthusiasm, money, etc. All of these things are altering the game play in different ways and to varying levels. This is the type of thing we should have already had communicated to us.
And as someone mentioned earlier in this thread, if the issues for game play are ongoing and compounding (e.g. things getting further behind), I'm sure most users would be happy for the site to be shutdown temporarily so as to avoid additional impacts to the overall game and get it all sorted once and properly.

I'm not so sure about it, then there would be even more complaints, I think. Right now things are slow, but Marin updates daily announcements, there's no need to update more frequently. We are aware of the problem, we can only hope it gets fixed soon. Meanwhile, if the site gets shut down completely for a week, I think the number of managers would drop down immensely.

I think communication is the biggest problem. With economic update running so far behind, there should be a warning message from BB-s, that dont buy players, dont switch staff if you dont want to lose money. Obviously some guys won if they sold a player after the scheduled economy update, they would have payed the salary othervise and the one that bought the player, payed extra salary. I think thats huge! I had my player recover from injury one day after he should have, with the first big lag, but the economy lag lasted longer and a lot of injuries were dragged out long, changing a lot of lineups -> game results. I had a player with high salary on my shopping list. Obviously I did not buy, because I knew I would pay double salary.
Standing from yesterday are not updated. Is there a chance the server ever catches up...

Looks like site speed is back to normal, but I'm still wary. I hear your requests about temporary shutting down (not an option) but we did consider and almost delayed everything a couple of days. Luckily, looks like we don't need to do that any more. The economy updates have all completed and other updates are catching up. We should be back to normal by tomorrow.

I know this week created a lot of issues that still remain due to the delays, but they seem like a small price to pay for what now looks like an end to a very very bad period. We will fix what we can, one issue at a time.
