Interactions with the community I have quite a bit with. I was an 18 y/o scout for three seasons, and for what it's worth have been on the offsite forum longer than any of the other candidates, but that simply means I had more opportunities at scouting endeavors and gameplanning. I also started a U20 camp, but that didn't last long due to RL problems.

I advocated Forrest Machado to the staff for a while before he was called up and when he was actually called up he was very solid in the 6 games he played. And I was one of the people that advocated Jimmie Brown until he was finally called up at the age of 20. I also occasionally give output on peoples trainees and training plans on the offsite forum. Most of my offsite contributions have come more with scouting than gameplanning. My line of reasoning is that we have a dozen guys helping the U21/NT manager out. Basically what I believe has almost surely been brought up already, and you'll only really see me gameplan if the decision is almost split, or to bring up a point everyone is overlooking or missing.

The last season I didn't really have an argument or disputes with Rambo since I wanted LI every single game of the season, and he did run LI every season. There was some chatter of R@G over the course of the season but I didn't believe that our R@G offense would be better than our LI offense.

The times that I can recall where I was alone in my decision are both the American final games under Rambo and Jason, and I think I also did it with Jelme and Jfarb. The America's finals are always glorified scrimmages that don't mean anything, so I always want to do some crazy lineup to run because we can. Mostly I was told "We made it this far. Why try to not win?". That semantics of that bothered me, but really it depends on how much you like a gold trophy compared to a silver one.

I was definitely with you on J Brown in the LI. I remember that debate clearly and thought you made a lot of good points.

@Jason, I think you should probably have made them use blue books as well...although Oriole may not know what those are yet...

Much like Sleet and Rambo's training guidelines, what do the candidates feel is something they'll do to further extend a clear cut plan for U21 player development and beyond?

That's not what I said

I said that the U21/NT manager is not leading if he listens only to other people. I'm not going to do that. Am I going to do it some? Yes, every past manager has listened to their help at some point. However is there sometimes where listening to their help would be the wrong decision? Absolutely. So I plan to listen to me too. That's not a conflict of leading.

So,a hypothetical to elaborate this...Coco, Wozz, and Rambo all say TIE. Your guts says normal. Do you defer or go with your gut?

Group hug!

If your going to listen to other people why don't we just vote for them? Don't say every past manager has listened to other people because that means that all those managers wer bad too. You shouldn't need other people telling you what to do, that means that your not doing a good job. I AM NOT GOING TO VOTE FOR YOU EVER IF YOU HAVE TO RELY ON OTHER PEOPLE TO MAKE THE HARD CHOICES FOR YOU.

Well if you go on and do do whatever you want to do and don't rely on other people's advice at this competition you get screwed

Sleet and Rambo's training guidelines are a great base to start with. I feel every season we need to reassess what we have and make the guidelines from there. As for extending the guidelines though I think a good thing to do is set the goal high for everyone. By setting the goal high, I feel it will bring out the best in everyone. Where the guidelines are set now it seems everyone reaches the minimum on some categories and I feel we need to go beyond the minimum and provide multiple players that are considered the "best" at the U21 level.

I think as I said earlier about training how we scout, which just recently actually happened, by having the scouts specialize in certain positions will help this. It will provide the best advice for the best players which can lead to even better players on the U21 team.

Well I'm always leaning TIE so that example probably would never happen since it wouldn't be an issue.
Now if they tell me all to normal and I'm leaning TIE, I'd then look at the scenarios and look at the magnitude of the game. If the scenarios say that we can't afford to lose the game otherwise we'll be too far behind to catch up, I will most definitely listen to Wozz, Coco, and Rambo, but if they want Normal and I see that we are still in decent position even if we do lose, then I'm going to listen to me and TIE.

Enthusiasm is just too critical at the NT level, you have to have a TIE-first mindset, and then proceed from there

Ok if I lose this election by 1 vote, it will be the Karma gods telling me that I should never listen to other people. Until then, thanks for your input, now please accept and move on.
