Yeah, the last game won't count for anything as I have wrapped up HCA against XBB with you beating him last night. As for his tactics and GS...

...He tested some of his guns but not all of them in both the games against you and me. He will put them altogether against me next Tuesday night. As for GS, I wouldn't be surprised if he trains GS this week. Despite my disciplined training of my guards I'm also tempted to train GS; however, I maintain the GS of my players pretty well.

By the way, did you notice Urmummas purchase? He's definately as determined as you to take out this flag. His purchasing of a strong C rounds his team out beautifully.

As for our game: I, too wished it were against a bottom team. For me, having wrapped up HCA, it's all about GS and preparation for the final against XBB. I still have one roll of the dice remaining. Just haven't decided how big a move to make. Will probably hold back and make a small move in preparation for another season in this league.

Nice pick up ZinGa. That SF should do some damage in this league next season.

Thanks for the update SchaBoom, I gave you a ball for that one :)

As for the pick up today, that SF was an unexpected one. I just put the money on the table and went off. Hours later I found him in my roster. I believe you can get a better player with the same money, and TBH, his skills wouldn't surprise you too much.

With that last purchase I should be ready for the relegation match next week, however the opponent is variable.

Good Luck to you ALL!

Hugely concerned, I am not sure of my position at all anymore as he bests me in 3 from 5 positions.. Ah well, I will give it my best shot, assuming I get there anyway!

Otherwise sell out at Vikings as I will not be able to maintain this roster in DIII

Well, schaBoom, I chose to prepare for the final tonight instead of ahaving a crack at you. My bench didn't do too badly...kind of. lol Good win. I just hope I can beat XBB and then give you a real game, albeit on your home soil.

The game of the round was easily the Legends678 v Hawthorn FC tonight. The Hawks needed to win to steal fourth place from the Legends on percentage and the legends needed to win to keep the Hawks out! What a game. With 9 seconds left they were drawn on 113 points each. Hughes from the Hawks was fouled with 8 seconds to go and managed to sink one of the FTs giving them a 114-113 lead. The legends called a time out and prepared for one last shot to steal the win and keep their 4th place. The shot on the buzzer...missed...no foul...Hawks win by 1pt and steal 4th on the ladder by percentage!!!

Very unlucky, Legends. On the positive side though, by finishing in 5th at least you don't have to pay Player Salaries for the duration of the finals! That's handy.

Good luck everyone.

With the recent purchase by Urmummas, the GF is meant to be an intense and high-leveled one if everything goes right. I believe both teams will try their best in those 3 games (most likely) to get a ticket to the devision above. Well it's probably the best GF series this season in DIV 3 AUS. Although I don't know how the other leagues are going, but if there are any teams like them 2, as determined as them and as good as them I would be surprised:) With this great GF coming up, I would definitely be sitting down in front of my computer and watch these games live if given the free time. :D

For my game tonight I'm surprised to see my team going so far, forcing the OT and have the lead in the last few seconds. The Wigs tied it up with 20 seconds left and beat the buzzer after our miss with 2 seconds left on the clock, Well Done!

Looking forward to the finals this season, and hope the two teams in the GF will bring us some great games!!!

GOOD LUCK ALL!

Believe it or not, Zinga, our league is one of the easier Australian DIv III leagues. Check out Div III.6 for example. Two of my mates (Viral Infections and Possum Chasers) are good enough to be playing finals in Div II except that Div III.6 is notoriosuly hard to promote out of. There are 5 teams in that league right now that are stronger than the Urmummas. My mate Naker (Viral Infections) (196186) is currently playing a $400k+ starting 5!!! And he still has millions of dollars to spend having recently tanked Div II.

There are some awesome Aussie teams out there.

Yeah absolutely, I think ours is reasonably cheap for rosters but I am sure we still have quality :) III.6 is rediculous, I think III.12 and III.10(??) are also very strong.

I was a bit relieved I must say Matty that you let me ride that unscathed, their was only one option for me TIE win or lose, so I am glad to come out of it on the upper end. I do look forward to playing you in a couple more games, assuming you can get past XBB..

Good luck to all in the race for the flag and enjoy the show for the rest, :)

LOL i take back my words after looking at the Div III.6 teams. I have to say that is abnormal for a div III in Australia, and I was surprised to see Naker's name among the group. Now I'm feeling a kind of relieve myself but also feeling pitiful for the teams in III.6 just to fight for staying in a Div III league. Our league is definitely less competitive compare to Div III.6, I would consider myself lucky to be put in this league.

Got to start knowing better about the BB world outside of my own league :P

Your doing fine, ZinGa. My mate and work colleague is a DIv II team on the verge of maybe becoming an ABBL team and he introduced me to many of the guys I now call mates on BB. I'm actually very lucky as these mates are quite experienced. More interesting perhaps are the types of jobs these guys do. There are Chalkies, Sparkies, Lawyers and Doctors amongst our group and a wealth of real life and BB knowledge; it really makes for a more enjoyable experience.

Naker (Viral Infections), for example, a lawyer in real life, is notorious for buying and selling players constantly to make money. He is well know for the 'old' players he constantly buys and sells. He gets paid out about it but, he's doing something right as he's got a bucket load of cash a team and the experience to go all the way to the ABBL.

It's the people in BB that make BB what it is in my opinion.
