One question for you guys regarding the cup..... is it always 50k for a win? Or does this payment increase the farther you go? I guess I have never got far enough if it does increase.....

Yea I've never gotten past 50K either. But it does go up.

round of 64 = $60K
round of 32 = $70K
round of 16 = $80K
Quarters = $100K
Semis = $135
Final = $300K

Honestly, I think the rounds of 64, 32 and 16 should be more than that. To make it 9 rounds or whatever it is only get a 10K increase is silly. Maybe less than 50K at the beginning when it's all bots... Whatever though.

yeah... hardly seems worth it considering how hard it is to get that far. I've got to the 512 round a couple times. Might go farther this year. Getting pretty easy draws so far....

Yea I know what you mean. I made it to the round of 256 last year, but that was the first time I even made it past round 3.. It really has a ton to do with the draw.

I mean, the Barnburners are still in it, even though they haven't logged in for a month. AND they get to play a DV team that's 2 days old. I haven't had a home Cup game since S16 (11 games in a row). Lot's of luck involved.

The 50K can add up though and really helps with the bottom line economically. Problem is, if you're trying to one position train, you have lots of decisions to make each week about what game to lose, or sacrifice training minutes. very difficult...

Well the #1 seed throughout the playoffs in now up for grabs after a shocking game in Lake Charles. 4 teams are now one game a part trying to get that advantage. Should be a great second half of the season.

I switched the ranking formula a little more, giving a little more weight to team record and point differential. Didn't change too much though other than getting the Traptors a little closer to #1.

Power Rankings

1. Schrodas 11-2, 13.209
2. Eclypze 11-2, 11.873
3. Eagles 8-5, 11.133

It's been pretty interesting during interleague play. The big 8 has firmly become the stronger conference, and the records reflect that. Heck, I'm even on a 5 game streak!

Storylines going into the last 7 games of the regular season:

1) Who gets the #1 overall seed? To me, it's a 3 team race between Eclpyze, Schrodas, and the Traptors (sorry Updog, your PD is too far off). I expect Schrodas to win out at this point, barring a CT from someone to get into the playoffs. So, can Eclypze (who if the season ended today would have the #1 spot) do the same in the tougher conference? Or will the Traptors sneak in with the highest PD?

2) Playoff Race in the Great 8. You've got 4 teams seperated by 1 game fighting for 3 spots. 2 Left Feet and the Eagles have the edge right now up a game and a huge PD advantage. But with 7 games left, there's plenty of time for movement. Can the Cresleys stay a game up on 5th place and make it in? Or, do they really want to since they'll have to play Schrodas in round 1 anyway??

3) Fight for 5th in the Big 8. Natellio is hanging on for dear life to a 2 game lead over Lake Charles to stay out of the relegation. My PD is finally caught up as well. Saturday's game will be a big one @ Lake Charles. If Lake Charles wins, they'll likely take the lead back in the PD, and draw one game closer. If I win, I likely lock up the #5 spot with a 3 game lead with 6 to play. Good news: whoever loses out and gets the 6 seed shouldn't have too much trouble in the relegation series.

With all that said. here are the updated rankings after 15 games.

Power Rankings

1. Schrodas 13-2, 13.786
2. Eclypze 13-2, 12.427
3. Updog 12-3, 9.946
4. Eagles 8-7, 9.834
5. Natellio 9-6, 9.548
6. Traptors 12-3, 9.403 (sorry... got a loss and low ratings this week...)
7. Extra Crispy 11-4, 7.067
8. Lake Charles 7-8, 5.707
9. Tornados 7-8, 4.529
10. 2 Left Feet 8-7, 2.868
11. Cresleys 8-7, -1.522
12. Drons 4-11, -6.378
13. Ozark 3-12, -11.273
14. Barnburner 3-12, -16.391 (BOT!)
15. Cyborgs 1-14, -20.627
16. Constructs 1-14, -28.919

Ha. You and the Traptors are low, I agree.

I don't just make these up though. The rankings are based on an equation that weights team rating, record, and point differential. I've adjusted the equation slightly as the season has progressed to make them a little more even. Right now rating is the highest rated, followed closely by record, by followed a little further by point differential.

In your and the Traptors case, your low power rank is a result of low team ratings in game. I'm not by the computer that I have those stats, but I know that you both are outside of the top 5 or 6 in that category, despite your successful record.

The ratings calculation will be affected significantly by subs (in my case some 2-3K players) entering during garbage time and then running a +25 down to a +12 in the 4Q. Thereby lowering two of your multipliers.

You might try taking a look at the individual game ratings of each teams starting lineup and adding that to the mix!
