I did many tests last season with a player that had good SB. The times i saw he performed better was when he was playing zone, so i doubt the effect it's important on m2m.

Anyway, i still have doubts, also had some weird results...(like being outscored easy in front of him)

there's nothing like "SB prevents inside shots in the first place because it scares the opponent's big men"..
that's why you should

I don't know how you can say this with certainty. When the offensive player in question has an opportunity to score in the post, perhaps he chooses to pass if the ID/SB score is at a certain number. In this way, maybe Heng Wan passed up several opportunities for dunks. How many of the undefended shots were with Arias in the game? How many with Indic? Much like real basketball, stats in BB cannot tell the whole story.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

Do we know exactly how Shot Blocking works? For instance, on the 0-2 Jump Shots, perhaps his better shot blocking allowed him to 'Contest the Shot' forcing the misses. And perhaps Shot Blocking is why it went from 'Unguarded Post Points' to at least having a Defender on him to increase the chances of a miss.

Again, I have no idea how SB works or if it affects shots (other than by blocking them).

(I see now that moutlinho says SB does 'alter the shot', still I don't know how often or to what degree.)

We all see games and players that go 6-6 at HT and you just know they will finish up 7-12 come the end of the game....

The example works nicely in this case but I would contribute the reversal in scoring down to 'averages' and not because of the personnel change.

It's really complicated to appreciate the effect of SB...

The problem is that BB-Charles wasted lot of time saying SB was important, but when we suggested(more than 2 times) to have a rating of SB like we have with offensive movement, we never have got an answer.
