Yes, you were down by only 4 when he fouled out with about 7-8 minutes left and lost by 15. Before that it had been pretty even.

You have a great team, and he most likely would not have made a difference in the outcome. I just wanted to whine a little about my player’s behavior change. : )

that would be unanticipated, if the changes to the game engine concerning SB included a "punishment" for low levels as well as the expected benefits for higher levels.

but it is too early to say -- chalk it up to a statistical fluke. i have a couple of players whose FT ratings and results are quite at odds so far this season.

Oh, I did not mean to imply an intentional punishment was added to the game engine. I was just wondering if an unintended byproduct of the change might be more fouls for bad shot blockers. I think you are probably right, and it is just a statistical fluke. I know we see statistical oddities all the time in BB, like you mentioned with FT percentages, or a team being hit with multiple injuries, etc.

I think more likely has to do with the opponent and how the player is guarding...

i thought Lion Pride's pickup, a very capable big man, was very good. given a different set of circumstances, like refs who did not think breathing by the visiting team was a foul, then his squad would have whipped mine.

Not just a foul, but if last season is any indication, wearing a LionPride road jersey is considered a felony now in several states. But at least oriolekid is rocking a tasteful Princeton offense so far.

It is getting ridiculous. I could not be called for more fouls if I were playing rugby on the court. I would be near undefeated if I were called for just above average fouls.

8 of the fouls happened in the last 1:12, so not as bad as it looks. Your guys do foul a lot, but I don't think that's gonna change. Probably worth looking into swapping out some of the higher fouling guys. But I don't think you would have won tonight anyway, the pp100 wasn't very close.

wanted to take a look over the Cup draws for this week. we have 10 teams playing on Tuesday, but i'm sure most teams in the league have at one time or another faced the tactical challenges this week presents: most teams can only play two games a week without wrecking GS, but both the league races and the winnings from the Cup begin to get serious. throw into the mix the decision to exploit the Cup for its contribution to ENTH or not, and you have these 10 teams facing a series of interesting decisions. without further ado, in no particular order,

ATL plays at Big Shots, a 6-6 DIII team

Ron Swanson is at Kukumonga Kumquats, a DV squad.

Rdkin is at Lazyer, an 8-4 DIV squad

Super T-Rex hosts Lake Merritt, one of the great squads of the USA. need i say Lake Merritt is an NBBA squad? but T-Rex should win, for Merritt is 0-12, on the road, and their national ranking has fallen from 7 at the beginning of the season to 24 today (T-Rex is rated 28).

Tucumcari host DIII Frogmonsters, who have a 7-5 record

Thunder Gods host DIV Serapo Gaeta, who have a 7-5 record

The King and I host Finger Rolls. this should be quite a game, if both managers chose to present their best -- and i don't know why they would not. both teams are 11-1 in their respective leagues (and Finger Rolls is undefeated in my PL)

our California Knights host our Bruins -- ouch.

and my squad plays Technical Fouls, a top-notch (as in 12-0) DII squad


i can see at least 7 DII.3 teams having a game on Thursday.

Thanks. It was a real close one. Wasn't sure if I could pull it off after having just CT'd my last Cup game but it's all my team has going for me this season. Same can't be said for your team as I think you'll be just fine in the long run.

Can the Knights get a little bit of love now? Haha. Though I may not be sticking around D.II long this time... i'm hoping to return shortly.
