Yeah, I think that's what I'm going to do. Anyway, I just got (9697099) for 53K. I know he's old, but I think it was worth it. His skills are:

Jump Shot: prolific Jump Range: proficient
Outside Def.: prolific Handling: proficient
Driving: strong Passing: mediocre
Inside Shot: mediocre Inside Def.: pitiful
Rebounding: respectable Shot Blocking: inept
Stamina: strong Free Throw: sensational

Experience: strong

I'm a little worried about the passing, but in D5, and D4 if I promote, it shouldn't be too big of an issue. Also, what should my tactics be? Right now I'm thinking about Princeton, since this guy has good JS and JR, and my next best players are my big men, so the inside/outside offense could help me out, although I'd like to hear from others.

He has better passing than most DV and DIV players so I'm sure you'll be ok.

I think this guy will rip up Div V, run Patient and let him go to work, if you M2M and use him on the Oppositions best scorer, you should be fine.

tbqh I don't think he'd do pretty well in a D4 league with 5 passing

in my league alone my great 8 is full of mega guards (I got 2 good guards, another team got 2 good guards, and many more)

Trying to put this in the most friendly way,.....that guy would get smacked down in my D4 League

Sure you can keep him for D5, but I'd go and get a 9+ passing guard for D4 in exchange (cuz that 5 passing gonna get smacked)

With that guy I would use Run N Gun. Since you are adding vets, you may want to add a PG type player.

I normally don't like to suggest builds because its one of my secrets that I am hoping will help me advance to Div II someday
Its one of the few secrets I like to keep because I spent a lot of time constructing my team to be able to be somewhat salary efficient.

I would suggest you check out the http://bb-usa.net/club/planner.php you can use training planner to help evaluate different builds. It comes in handy when comparing two players of the same salary. That will get you started. I would also say that overall when you are comparing players its good to consider total skill points. For instance in the player you bought as is he really is only good at PG/SG. If he more added handling/driving/inside shot/inside defense he would still be at about the same salary but much more efficient.

Post game player ratings are also a pretty good indicator of how good a player is. Some stuff to consider ;)

Tough, your D4 league might as well be a D3 league just by looking at it.

Well, I'm only planning on using him in D5 as a starter, I'm going to try to get a better, more well-rounded guy for D4 once I get there. (Also, I agree with what Jahill said, your league is crazy competitive for a D4 league)

In regards to my tactics, I'm going to try out Patient and see how that works out. I think it would be best for my players, since they're all the scrubs I started out with and have terrible ratings, especially in stamina, to just pass it off to Duchovný without the pressure of hurrying it up and in the process, using lots of stamina. However, I'm currently only experimenting, so this isn't definitely what I'm going with permanently, at least until I figure out if it's the most viable option for me.

You are off your rocker. That league couldn't hold a candle to D.III.

If you make sure you keep a healthy weekly income that allows you to save/invest some money, you should balance your expenses on new players (if you can afford to cut down your weekly income if you're on the high side and need some reinforcements to win) and expending your arena (if you're winning but your income is low).

yea, our league stinks in big men and well, those guards you see there, most of them are the ordinary guards....not the extra-ordinary ones (the ones who are for LI and balanced)

Okay, just got (4844751) for 52K. I know he's old but he should be able to help me for this season ans possibly the next. Here's his stats:
Jump Shot: proficient Jump Range: mediocre
Outside Def.: prominent ↓ Handling: wondrous
Driving: prolific Passing: prominent
Inside Shot: mediocre Inside Def.: inept
Rebounding: pitiful Shot Blocking: awful
Stamina: proficient Free Throw: average

Experience: wondrous

What tactic should I use now? I'm thinking Motion or RnG.
