Fwinns has stepped up and put together some great analysis on this years team. He chose the tactics and the players for today's very difficult scrimmage against Brazil. Looking forward to seeing how we fair despite a few players poor GS.

Well our bigs suffered as expected (out rebounded 55/40, fewer points/100 shots). I couldn't watch the game but with 44s to go we were at -1 with the ball, so it was as close as could be.
Princeton was a bit of a bold choice because we don't have impressive shooters, but it worked better than I expected, with just a bit more 3 pts going in (5/21 is not that great!) could mean a victory instead of tonight's loss.
Interestingly we played strictly follow depth chart until 4th, and the 4th quarter is the only one we won!

In the end a good experience, thanks for the opportunity Beanerz

Anytime man!

I was able to watch most of the game and honestly like the looks of the Princeton offence. With our full roster in better/normal GS and a couple of shooter call ups I think we have a really different result. Our two starting guards are both still young and getting training so will only get better. The bigs we sent out for today's scrimmage were both in poor GS and outmatched, leaving us in the trail position early on. Definitely a good learning experience.

Thanks for taking this challenge on and making the most of it.

I have had to travel down to Scottsdsle for a couple meetings so have been less active.

The line up is set for our next game which despite our bad game shape should be pretty lopsided.

The Canadian National Team has called up two players as of this morning. Both Robert Laurent (20813435) and Giulio Cornoldi (26110152) have been called up. Both deserve spots on the team however their call-ups are a direct result of other players poor game shape. The hope was to wait until later in the season before making any roster moves.

The coach of the team has banned nachos and cheese from the dressing room in an effort to get GS back under control. He also comment that both new call ups will be in the line up for the teams next game.

Game #3 12/14/2015 3:00:00 PM

Canada versus Dominican Republic

This is the last of the very easy match-ups and a game that team Canada should run away with. Our GS has not been anywhere close to what I was hoping for but it is a work in progress. For this game we will be going with a very unique tactic and one that is not often used. I expect a 30 point margin of victory and a big game from our recent call ups.

FYI - Over the last two training sessions the team has a total of 4 pops (all by Jarvis). Training will need to continue to ensure we have the elite level team we all expect.

1 week injury for Cornoldi during the first game (and not even as a backup or reserve, only in the player list for the game...) after his call up on the NT...!

Canada's third competitive game of the year came against the Dominican Republic. Canada used run and gun attack to come away with a 129-74 victory.

The Good Our starting guard duo finally started to play the way they are capable, with a combined 43 points.

The Bad Perez and walter are both two first time NT players. To this point both have been rather underwhelming. Maybe the big stage is getting to them? Or maybe they are saving their finest for the upcoming big matches.

The Ugly The Dominican has some beautiful ladies, but man their basketball team stinks :)

Next up Peru...

Another call up has been made. Game shape continues to be a challenge for some of our guards in particular, that combined with an injury warranted a bit of insurance.

Veteran Canadian NT player Michael Jolly (24807183) has been called up. Jolly will add some much needed experience to our back court and a skill set that is very different from our current roster players.

Our line up is set for today's game. It is a big game and one that I could see Peru really 'trying' to win. Canada's roster should be to much for them to overcome.

Canada improves to 4-0 with a 12 point victory over a gritty team from Peru (35218)

Offensive Game Ball This award is going to a player who seems to control the entire flow of this game. He collected 9 assists and scored 11 points on 4-8 shooting. Aleix Barrero-Valverde is this games OGB winner!

Defensive Game Ball John Sammons is the clear cut and easy choice. His 9 rebounds and 1 block really do not tell the story. He had a difficult match up and seemed to get a stop every time we needed one.

Unsung Hero Grizzled veteran Robert Laurent gets this acknowledgement for a solid performance off the bench.

Next up we face a Columbia team that just came off a huge upset against Argentina. Competition is starting to ramp up now, lets have some fun.

You also need to mention Nixon's 21 rating!
