This thread isn’t about how many skills you can pack into an efficient beast. It’s about a defensive monster. Less blocked shots doesn’t mean he was useless. His high ID meant less opponents attacking him, but in those fewer instances the SB was handy.

I once had a team with 1757 players and was $25,835,360 in debt. This is not that team. Join the Discord group open to anyone, but especially for USA managers to improve your club or get involved with the U21 and NT programs (https://discord.gg/cKpNkt2).

Marin never said he readjusted OD as he did for SB and 3pt shooting.

Patient is easy to stop if you can't mix it up reliably. I don't think having several players who shoot in the low 30s or even less in D2 and D3 like Haek or the finnish guy is a recipe for success.

Ideally I'd go something like this:
PG: https://i.imgur.com/k60A4nf.png Defend C
SG: https://i.imgur.com/Cex8Gqr.png Defend SG
SF: https://i.imgur.com/0n3RsUq.png Defend PG
PF: https://i.imgur.com/4Ucwzzc.png Defend SF
C: https://i.imgur.com/6wwGKvO.png Defend PF

118k+138k+129k+101k+192k = 678k
it leaves you room for 2 backups if you push ST high enough.

SG/SF/PF: https://i.imgur.com/1Agzj5P.png
89k+78k+678k = 845k is quite high so you might have to trim somewhere to drop to a more reasonable 750k-800k.

Pipe dream anyway.

It's unfortunate that ID cannot be punted enough in a build pushing IS/RB/SB, that would be interesting. Maybe they should change secondary training for inside skills. My next project in a few seasons will be to build elite players with as little HA/DR as possible and see what happens (I already know what happens with big men, Guards would be interesting too, but harder to achieve)

I've actually had the same thought about building guards without DR and Handling training. I picture them essentially being spot open shooters and defenders. I'll try that next probably after the defensive builds.

For big men I already know what happens.
Vadikolias (30952612) was something like this:
7/6/7 1/1/6 17/16/14/5 (80 TSP)
You can see from his stats in D1 that he averaged 16/11 on 11 shots and overall he's had more assist than turnovers for me. I sold him at 34 and when other EBBL managers saw his skills they were shocked.

It appears this player has been dunking a lot more than normal and that HA was not a big factor in his Ast/TO ratio especially when playing C rather than PF...so, yes I hope that a low DR outside player will take less drives and more outside shots, possibly more of them assisted. The only problem is that keeping HA/DR low will make it very hard to push other outside skills to elite level, so it may not be viable D1 level players
