Everything you have said there I know about and have read about in the forums/help section so I probably know just about as much as you on the subjects. Experiencing it isn't as important if I know what not to do, so I won't make those silly mistakes!

I can guarantee you will make those same mistakes, and that's no disrespect at you, we all do when we're learning something new to us. The season is very long and very dynamic; things change all the time (injuries, new transfers, ENTHUSIASM, etc) and you've yet to experience any of that.

It's all about knowledge as the experience won't change from player to player. The game works the same for everyone so learning from other people's experiences is just as good

I TOTALLY disagree. Every team, every player, every opponent, is different. My club's situation is light years different from yours. These things do not translate. You must experience them on your own.

I know I'd rather have my NT manager rely on his own training/roster/enthusiasm experiences than based on whatever some dummy types his opinion (right or wrong) in the Global forum.

Why play 3-2 Zone against NC Cardinals when they ALWAYS play Run and Gun? Surely 1-3-1 would be a better option?

My rebounding is bad enough without making it worse :P Please don't comment on my tactics when you don't know my team at all :P If you look at his roster compared to mine I didn't have much of a chance no matter what I did.

Buttsy, I appreciate your concerns about me not being a native. I absolutely understand. However, I have to respectfully ask you: so what? What difference does it make? Don't you want the best manager your nation can have?

No sorry nassor, i would in fact prefer the best Kiwi manager my nation could have not the best manger. If we elect a non-kiwi everytime how are New Zealand managers supposed to grow and experience NT management first hand? as you point out relying on peoples dumb opinion from posts is not always as good as experiencing it first hand, therefore Sammy manageing the NT is of more benefit for NZ in the long run than a foreign manager.

Plus i have personal experience dealing with Sammy and he has shared his self made spreadsheet with me and i highly approve of it's benefits and results.

He is 110% committed to this game and know he will dedicate a ridiculous amount of his daily life to making our NT great if he wins this election.

For these reasons i cast my vote, and i do appreciate your position and pedigree but alas my vote will lie elsewhere in this election.

Ive gotta put my 2 cents in here... i think at the stage we are at in terms of a NT namssor is by far the best man for the job by the looks of things he has been pretty active her in helping me as the U21 coach and i think his experience is exactly what we need at this stage

I have been following both the NT and u21 NT for the last couple of seasons and I honestly believe that being manager of the NT is not the best way for NZ managers to gain experience. Maybe in a few seasons SammyD might be able to do a good job for us but at the moment the most effective way of developing NZ players and moving the team up the rankings is to have an experienced quality coach like namssor at the helm. To be fair about the issue aswell i think SammyD is extremely under qualified and if we were to go for a Kiwi as a coach this should be someone of far more experience thats played a few seasons in a higher division.

I appreciate the good words from all of you, I really do. It means a lot to me.

Buttsy, I understand your concerns about not having a Kiwi run the team. But BELIEVE ME, I am not shutting you guys out at all. I will be extremely transparent with my decisions so that you all can understand what it takes to do the job and how it works. And hopefully you can learn from my experiences for the future so that in the future when the community grows, you can have a native running the show.

And if you're worried about long-term success, I am more qualified because I have much more experience training players, especially to the NT level. I will assist everyone who wants help on how to make their players more effective for their club and (hopefully) the NT. Someone who has never trained a player has no experience with training throughout an entire season.

On another (more important) note, just a reminder that voting ends on Tuesday, so make sure you vote! Maybe we'll get more than 6 votes like last season! And maybe I'll get at least 1 this time!

I'm also in a good mood because I beat a former 3-time NBBA runner-up in my club match today (and I was on the road and TIE'd against their Normal!)

Honestly i'm not too worried who wins, just wanted to stir up the debate a bit :P

I'm not against an overseas manager if it gets us some wins, we will soon see the results.
