It doesn't make sense that my local club team could buy an NBA player (even if it's for a short time) because the NBA teams won't sign him due to his salary being too much.

Youre local club could buy any uncontracted nba player if they want to go broke. And the nba are currently going through a shortened season due to players striking because their contracts are higher than the franchises can maintain...

Still, this does point out the same issue in this game. Maybe a hard salary cap would help regulate excessive salaries and balance out the difference between the top teams.

As you seem to have stated above, it should be more about tactics.

If they want people to spend loads of time on here, they should go deeper into the tactics.

Tanking and saving money for seasons and seasons, while legitimate is boring. But then it's probably the best way to win if you didn't start 15 seasons ago.

Oh, I agree, it's completely artificial. But then again, so are a lot of sporting regimes, i.e. the EPL - the top few clubs are completely propped up by their owners, who chuck in bucketloads of money every season. It's hard to replicate that fairly on here

Besides, I made good money on my core trainees, so I say it was worth the effort.

Just hoping for a good draft pick without going down to III...

do you guys think if BB flooded the market for high quality trainers at bargain basement prices, that would encourage teams to train rather than buy and sell quality players?
i'm just looking @ trainers to buy and they get really expensive for high quality ones. The price to pay for a top quality low salary trainer can get as expensive as a 100k+ player!!

having 2 spend 600k 2 get a trainer & 30k a week is the big factor in killing training 4 lots of people i guess

after all this time of being wrong the market has shifted so much that naker is right

hahah if you are willing to make the effort to suggest the idea is all yours!
yeah i guess that's the reason why Training has become a weakness in the game now. If things don't change, i can see managers who train be beaten by teams promoting and just using the "Naker" strategy to win.

yeah i guess that's the reason why Training has become a weakness in the game now.

It's not necessarily a weakness to train players because of tanking. Just lessens the benefits of training unless you plan your timing correctly. I have built my team around my trainees and would have spent a lot more on a lot less if I just bought the best players available to me at the time.
