The way the cup draw looks from here on in (if I had of made it) , I really missed an opportunity to win a cup.

Could have easy hired some beasts for a month or so to win it.

Looked a really simple game, home court, normal enthusiam - stupid tactics

Formality it would have been

Could of hired a whole lot of beasts with the money Ive got stashed.

3 mill would just about buy a 1.2 to 1.5 mill a week roster

And I have enough stashed to maintain that for the rest of the season

$3 million to buy.
$1.5 million per week roster = $800k a week loss x 10 more weeks = $8 million.

Do you really have $11 million spare? I thought you had an expensive roster in season 18 and were nearly broke in season 17 so did you really save $11 million in season 19?

I know you had $6 million of sales recently but you also have had $4 1/2 million of purchases.

I think I quoted 1.2 to 1.5 mill per week (and not 1.5mi per week) and I dont reckon there is 10 weeks left in the season. (8 actually plus finals)

Bankruptcy gives you a couple of weeks

Look again and youll see that I had 8 mill in sales and not 6.

You may not have noticed but I had 5th sewn up 3 or so weeks out before the end of last season and started to lighten the salary load at about that time

You have however forgotten to mention that I recently spent 520K on an exceptional trainer

What purchases Ive had, if I wanted to, could be sold for at least cost, less some tax.

Might be a tad tight by the end of the season, but not a problem at all it would have been to see it out from now until the scheduled end of the cup.

If I sold all my players currently on my roster at present, I certainly would have the best part of 11 mill (a little bit off but certainly close enough)

Currently I dont have that 11 mill in the bank, but by seasons end if I continue on my path and sold my scrubs at the end of the season and held onto my 3 trainees, I would have around the 11 mill in the bank (possibly a little bit off but certainly close enough)

Would have liked another week or 2 in the cup and certainly would have considered having a real push at it.

Trainers are expensive. When I consider the $500k to buy them, the $50k a week they seem to cost me, the way I have to awkardly allocate minutes so my three trainees get them and the games lost so I can train the 18 year old guys it makes me wonder if Naker isn't right. Unlucky for me training is the most fun part of the game so I wont stop doing it.

If Naker is saying buying players is one of the best way to go about being successful then he is right. Since it's much more cost efficient. However just like you said, you lose the fun factor in watching your player grow. Also you can't create unique players and finding such players on the market can be rare and expensive.

Div 4 to div 2 in two seasons and quarter finals in the cup is relatively successful.
You're just upset that training is no longer (if it ever was) the best way to go :P
