I did state later in the season that with inter league play starting, I was going to attempt to win some conference games.

You know you're living life in BB right when you list a player at the mid to upper end of his TC range, get a bid on Thursday night on him, and then Friday's training causes a skill drop that switches his position and causes his TC range to drop by half. So for full disclosure, folks, the player that I'm selling for $275k that *now* has a TC of 100-170k is not me trying to fleece somebody, and in fact I suppose I should have listed him at 800k for a few months until someone bought him.

Yes, I've seen these TPEs drop dramatically even without a skill drop. It makes you wonder why this happens, especially if there were at least a dozen players who had been sold at said TPE. So what in hell happens? Besides, hrudey, we all know that you simply knew that guy was going to drop a skill:-)

TPE's are not usually the best measuring stick of value anyway. The GM's factor in much more than that when looking at Transfer questions. Things were called pretty tight there for a while, it seemed like if a guy got $50K more that what most would consider normal, people kind of freaked out. That was never the spirit of the TPE, or the rule governing transfers.

The whole point is to dissuade "account transfers" and cheating in general, or the occasional time when a guy blatantly profits from a really stupid bid on one on his players :-) I think you are more than safe in this instance ;)

Sigh. If you're going to make some grand pronouncement at the start of the season about how fair & magnanimous you are, stick to it? Furthermore you stated:

But regardless, your whole revised premise is even more disingenuous. The only way you'd win a game was literally by ambush, & you knew it. No other way. Hell, the bunch of scrubs I put out with FCP & double wrong GDP still made a game of it.

Otherwise, what's the point in suddenly playing your best guys? Did you suddenly have a burning desire mid-season to give most teams a huge PD bonus, but others a somewhat smaller PD? (Because, fairness!) Yeah, that's plausible... (eye-roll). Especially seeing how BB treats all blowout losses the same. TBH, that would be even *more* of a jag move. Since it would only hurt certain teams while not even benefiting you one bit. To reiterate, no non-tanking team would even come close to losing to you & we both know it.

So, in summary, your whole "fair play" act just got KO'd:

You hear that, guys? I'm not going to be punished. If you want to see the man take me down, you'll have to go bid up Poirier by several hundred thousand more, at minimum. I don't think the lot of you have the guts to do it.

Poirer is worth what ever you get. At least he isnt a Perr All Star potential 18 yo that you listed for 600K since the beginning of the season and finally duped a new team into purchasing him. At Perr All Star, its going to take some good training to make him worth more than initial purchase price, plus the two years or real time training.

Yeah, that "new" team has been around since S15.

Since you're talking about selling a player, good job on selling a 30yo $38.7k player for $780400 and a 26yo $22523 player for $500k. You didn't make a profit on both deals did you?

Well that's still much better than back when these 6th man potential scrubs kept magically getting sold for half a million after 2-3 weeks!
