Pilipinas U21 (4-4) Defeats Cyprus U21 (1-7) 128-82 (40632)

Taking advantage of the opponent's 2-3 zone, Clark Lloyd (38955973) scored 31 points on 13 field goal attempts. Englebert Nisperos (38956653) narrowly missed a triple double tallying 13 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists.

Despite the win, Pilipinas missed the playoffs ending with rank 35. Hangkuk (5-3) won their last game allowing them to secure home court advantage for the next season with rank 34.

Since we have no competitive games left, we will now focus on giving the U20 team some experience for next season. Stay tuned to see who may be part of the team next season.

In approximately 6 hours, we will have the first scrimmage against Senegal U21. Twelve of the following players will be chosen for the upcoming game. There may be weekly changes in the team due to game shape changes and players coming back from injury.

Pilipinas U21 Escapes with a 126-124 Victory Against Senegal Behind Ian Diaz's Free Throws (40853)

After Irvin Ethan Bantala's (39709775) tip in, the score was 121-114 with 2 minutes left in the game. Despite the huge lead, Senegal managed to tie the game at 124 with 12 seconds left. Ian Diaz (40554349) went strong for the dunk and missed, but a foul was called. After hitting both free throws, Senegal did not manage to make a shot which led to our win.

Teodoro Braga (40554120) led the team with 29 points and 8 assists while Rovie Natividad (39709656) added 21 points, 12 rebounds and 2 blocks.

Pilipinas U21 Defeats Malaysia U21 137-124 (40900)

Pilipinas opened the game with a 10-1 run en route to a 32-21 first quarter. Malaysia made runs to cut the lead, but Pilipinas was able to hold on to get the W.

Manuel Caritat (39709783) led all scorers with 28 points and 5 three pointers while Rovie Natividad (39709656) stuffed the stat sheet with 20 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, 1 block and 2 3PTM. Off the bench, Stephen Clement (39710865) poured 18 points on 8-9 shooting including 2-2 from beyond the arc.

Pilipinas U20 Defeats Argentina U20 129-115, But Loses to Singapore U21 129-107

Argentina Game: (40928)

Manuel Caritat (39709783) set the pace early on scoring 13 points in the first 8 minutes of the game. Ian Diaz (40554349) made sure Pilipinas kept the lead tallying 16 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 blocks on 8-11 shooting. Pilipinas distributed the scoring load with all 12 players scoring at least 6 points in the blow out victory.

Singapore Game: (41002)

Despite playing against a roster one year older, Pilipinas was able to make life difficult of their counterparts, outscoring them in two out of four quarters. Allan Nikkette Hugnatan (39947636) made the most of his first game in U21 with 19 points, while Sig Lim (39709629) scored 14 points off the bench on 6-7 shooting.
